I have used several ropes, including Crossrope. What i prefer of rush rope to other liquorice ropes are the handles which are longer and also their shape. The rope also tangles less at least of the other ones that I have had. I also like a reebok one which is similar (maybe a little more robust). But the weighed one (legacy rope) it's a nice "cheap" heavy rope. I also have thought when I have bought his ropes that it was my little contribution to his videos which have helped me a lot.

Almost every USD2 speed rope from Aliexpress comes with the same mechanism. The best part is Rush Athletics’ guy don’t even use that adjustment mechanism, but prefers to knot the rope to make length adjustments.

The knot is better than cutting the rope. You can make precise adjustments later with the mechanism.

I might be in the minority here but I use and really like the Rush Athletics rope. I agree that it’s nothing special. It’s a classic licorice/pvc style rope that Rushee actually modeled after the rope that Floyd Mayweather used. That company went out of business and it appears Rushee took over the product but with the RA marketing strategy. In full disclosure I own a lot of different ropes, including the extremely expensive Get Lean system from Crossrope. Forget an $8 difference. That system will set you back with an $80 difference. The Get Lean handles and rope are better made, more technically advanced and have a lot more feedback when spinning it. However, I still prefer and use the RA one more. I’ve been jumping for about a year and a half now, almost every day and I came to realize that jump ropes are subjective to the jumper and their style of jumping. Anyway, great, honest review. I’d be interested in what you think of the new (very similar) freestyle rope from Crossrope. It’s $20 and I think much better quality. I also think it spins better, so now I alternate between that rope and the RA one.

Lui Amador hello friend!! I LOVED reading your comment. It was very thoughtful. I agree with your comment as well that most often reviews on ropes...or anything really...can be very subjective. Two people use or wear the same thing and one loves it and the other hates it. My problem with the rope I got from RA was that: 1. It didn’t really provide me with a more comfortable or pleasant experience than a £3 rope... 2. It broke a few weeks after purchase Glad to hear yours has lasted you a year. I thought about maybe trying another one but after my horrible experience with the RA circle jump rope mat - I tried buying it twice and both had holes in them within 5 minutes - I just kinda lost confidence with RA and the quality of their products. I also own the Get Lean ropes from Crossrope, as well as many other of their ropes including the £25 freestyle rope, and will be doing reviews on why I honestly use them 99.9% of the time I jump. Thanks for the feedback and I look forward to hearing from you on other videos as well 🙌🏼

Hello friend. Was re-reading your comment and wanted to follow up about the Crossrope freestyle rope. I bought the Crossrope freestyle rope and I destroyed it in less than two months. They sent me a replacement very quickly but I just am afraid to use it. Don’t think they would replace it again for free like the first time lol. I honestly just finally decided I hate licorice ropes. They all just seem very cheap and I have yet to find one that lasts me longer than two months. I have to do some research to see if there is something about the way I jump that is causing my ropes to break prematurely.

@@kgsfitness7806 I alternate between my RA and the Crossrope Freestyle rope everyday, 5-6 days a week. I’ve had the Crossrope one for about 5 months and the RA one for about a year and a half. Neither have broken. I jump exclusively on a mat which I think preserves the ropes quite a bit. Other than that, maybe I’ve just gotten lucky. I’m sorry you’re having such bad luck. I follow a lot of professional and competitive jump ropers online and they all vary in their preferred ropes so I’ve really come to believe “go with what works for you.” As long as you’re jumping rope...and not using those goofy handles with balls on the end that simulate jumping, I will never judge you 😬

@@luiamador4557 lol. I think those ball things are so funny looking lol. I agree too...go with what works. For some reason my style of jumping just tears through licorice ropes like Ben Affleck tore through drill bits in Armageddon lol
@luiamador4557
@luiamador4557 3 жыл бұрын
@@kgsfitness7806 I don’t remember drill bits specifically in Armageddon, but I do remember Batman telling the Die Hard guy he loves him. One thing I’ve noticed when I jump is if I raise my hands a little, I can get the rope to barely skim the floor surface or even not touch it at all. It makes for a really smooth jump but I can’t sustain it every time. I definitely see its benefit because when the rope is just slamming onto the mat, it feels much slower and I even feel the impact in my hands and wrists.

I still have his $11 rope, but honestly when I want a cheap rope to kick around at the park I just use the $3 rope I got at Sports Direct and it is the exact same rope. The only time I really appreciate the Rush rope is if I am having a class with someone and they don’t have a rope. I can quickly adjust the Rush rope to suit them and after class adjust it back for me. Hope the review helped 👍

Nahhh it’s not hating,it’s your opinion that you’re fully entitled to, I’m also of the same conviction, RA Ropes are absolute shit,TRUTH BE TOLD,I mean I use a cheaper rope that’s way stronger than that junk handled trash,a friend bought it and within two weeks of daily usage,the rope snapped on the handle and most annoying was the cheap inscription on the handles rubbed off in less than a weak...no doubt whatsoever, the owner is a bloody great jump rope artist,that boy got mad skills and fluidity and he is one of the best at it but his rope unfortunately is not worth the price,it’s all hype...I ain endorsing nobody but based on what I’ve seen here on YT ropes like Cross Rope are good and worth the money,Your Buddy Lee Speed Ropes,there’s plenty that are truly worth their salt,just not RA...he really needs to work on the quality of his ropes...TRUTH BE TOLD.

In your 3$ jumprope video, you also mentionned another huge drawback. The handles wears out the rope with high speed. I ve spent many cheap ropes and all broke in less than 2 weeks. Personnally, I think it's a huge drawback and in some instance, it's even a rip off since the handles has cutting edges which litteraly cut the ropes on purpose (The worst of the worst are excellerator jumprope). Rush athletics ropes are expansive ( i mean they're just piece of plastic) but they last muuuch longer.

It's not even an authentic RA rope! They don't make that in this colour and speedrope has hollow cable (not entirely solid) There's a great difference between those two ropes besides just length adjusting mechanism, speedrope doesn't tangle even when u perform combos on it whereas other cheap rope will be tangled and break at the middle or handles if he hit combos with it. Stop misleading people if u r not good enough to tell the difference just keep silence.

Hello Mr. Gulhane...you seem to be the only one that disputes that the rope was made by RA. If you are right and it was a fake, then that opens up a whole new can of worms about why or how people are getting fake ropes with his name on it being sold on his own website. You seem to be an expert on all things RA related...so perhaps you can explain that to all of us. Thank you.

Do you have thoughts on a normal PVC vs speed rope, for exercises purposes? Thanks
@kgsfitness7806
@kgsfitness7806 3 жыл бұрын
Hello friend...good to hear from you. I do have some thoughts for what they are worth lol. So when you ask about “normal” ropes vs “speed” ropes...we are typically talking about weight - normally a speed rope is light...around 3 oz and below - and a normal rope is typically around 3-4 oz. when you get over 4-5 oz you start moving into ropes that would be considered by most to be “heavy”. Also “speed” ropes typically have bearings in the handles to make it really easy for the rope to swing really fast without the rope grinding against the handles. So with that being said lol...My experience is that speed ropes are for a specific type of jumper who is experienced with normal jumping and wants to get into really explosive jumping...normally that means double unders. If a person is new to jumping rope...speed ropes are not helpful because they are so light and they rotate so fast it makes it hard to get used to. I have always felt that unless you are wanting to progress into advanced jumping - double unders - then a speed rope isn’t helpful. I’m a pretty experienced jumper and I only breakout my speed ropes if I want to do double under work...period. That’s it. If I’m doing normal steady state jumping - meaning I’m going to really just jump for endurance at clips of 2, 3, 5 etc minute intervals...kind of like going for a long steady run vs sprint work...then I will always use a 4 oz rope or heavier and I leave my speed ropes in the bag. I hope that helps 😇. Follow on Facebook as well on Brummie Jumpers! We can talk more directly there. Keep jumping ! 🦘🦘🦘

@kgsfitness7806 3 жыл бұрын
@@Janisurai thank you friend for your time. Me personally...I don’t like licorice ropes much...mainly because they typically don’t use bearings to connect the rope to the handles...they just slide the rope, regardless of what it is made out of, right through the handles and that causes a lot of friction and so the rope grinds against the handles. I normally break mine within a month or so. I have used cheap ones from Walmart and Target...not sure if you’re in the States lol...and I have used Rush Athletics rope...I’ve used the new freestyle licorice rope from Crossrope...they are all the same. Broke them all with a month or two. I only use them to warm up for a few minutes...then I switch to my better ropes with bearings in them for the jumping workout. The main ropes I use are from Crossrope. I think their ropes are just the best on the market. I also use some speed ropes from Rogue.

Yes they are...for several reasons. 1. They are super durable. I’ve jumped with mine out on pavement several times and they last much longer under that stress than any other rope I’ve used. 2. Their handles are very comfortable to hold. They are even a bit sticky so when you sweat or if it’s raining they don’t slip out of your hands easily. 3. They make them in all different weights so you know exactly what the weight is of the rope you are using. I HATE when I have no idea how much a rope weighs lol. 4. The bearing system is great. It makes it very easy to rotate the rope...and since the bearings connect the rope to the handles instead of connecting the rope directly to the handles the rope doesn’t wear out due to friction. 5. They have a detachable link system which allows you to disconnect one rope cable and hook up another without needing multiple handles. Plus since the cables are connected to a detachable link...when the rope cable does finally break you only need to replace the cable. 6. People say they expensive but they really aren’t. I have paid $100 for a few ropes from Rogue and that was for just one rope...so paying $120-150 for a set of two ropes isn’t bad for me. Plus the rope cable themselves are cheap...like $5-30. What you are paying for is the handles....but once you buy the handles they last for years and then all you have to do is replace the cable every 2-3 years for $5-30 and you are back in business again for another 2-3 years.

Sandana _1124 well I hesitate at saying something is “high priced” as that is completely relative. Paying $11 for a jump rope would not be considered “high priced” by most of the developed world. But I don’t want to pay $11 for a rope that doesn’t do anything that a $5 rope can’t do. With that said; if you want a “good rope”...please explain what that means to you...you have to be prepared to pay for it. I primarily use ropes that cost $25-$80.

There are a couple of things that I need to address as you completely misrepresented them: Firstly it was not my heavenly father who died for me at the cross, it was his everlasting son. Lord Jesus has become human in order to die and rise for us, not God the father. He - Lord Jesus - fulfilled the law, which we were not able to fulfill. Secondly I as a Christian, I do not have any certainty to be healthy. In actual fact we see and read in the scripture that repented Christians need to deal with all possible kinds of deceases: “Erastus remained in Corinth, but Trophimus I left behind in Miletus sick.“ 2 Timothy 4:20 “but I have thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and fellow-workman and fellow-soldier, but your messenger and minister to my need, since he had a longing desire after you all, and was distressed because you had heard that he was sick; for he was also sick close to death, but God had mercy on him, and not indeed on him alone, but also on me, that I might not have sorrow upon sorrow.“ Philippians 2:25‭-‬27 All miracles which imply recovery from sickness and illness were just referring to people who were not saved, who did no know God yet. But in contrast to this every true believer could have come into a situation where he had to suffer from a decease (look at the proof I just delivered). Of course I as a Christian can be healthy, but that is not a promise. Now the most important thing: Being healthy is absolutely not the first and most important message, that the holy scripture wants to give to us! The most important message given to us by Lord Jesus is to go on our knees, to understand that Lord Jesus is god in the flesh who died for every single human being in order to save them from eternal punishment. Accept Lord Jesus as your saviour and believe in what he has done for you! Repent from your sins and feel sorry about all lies, about all deception and every single bad word that come upon your lips. Ask Lord Jesus for forgiveness and if you do this out of a sincere heard, and if you really want to come to god, you can think of what Lord Jesus promises to every single human being: “All that the Father gives me shall come to me, and him that comes to me I will not at all cast out.“ John 6:37 Go on your knees, repent from your sins, ask Lord Jesus for forgiveness and he will restore and save you. If you do not repent from your sins and keep your way up without god, his wrath will remain on you. “He that believes in the Son has life eternal, and he that does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides upon him.“ John 3:36 Do sports and try to keep your body fit. But do not do sports to please yourself and do not do sports to have a fantastic live. Do not do sports to impress people, as he who wants to impress people does not belong to god: “For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.“ Galatians 1:10 Instead do sports to go out and spread the gospel of Lord Jesus to all people! This Live is not about having fun. This Live is about repenting and coming to god. True life begins in heaven with Lord Jesus, the holy father and the holy spirit. “For whosoever shall desire to save his life shall lose it, but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's shall save it.“ Mark 8:35 I really hope that my words reached all of you. May my Lord Jesus Christ be praised!

Hello friend. Wow! You really put a lot of time into making sure every single word uttered is theologically correct. That’s very impressive. And if this channel was dedicated to theological study instead of fitness, your corrections would be even more appropriate and needed. But…since my mentioning of God is meant to be as a simple warm reminder to every one that God loves them and wishes them well (including good health), I think I will leave making the particularities of the Christian doctrines of the trinity and the origins of suffering clear up to someone with a religious channel….meanwhile hoping that someone will hear my comments and think “oh man…God loves me!” Thank you though for making your opinion on all of those particular doctrines clear. 😇

@@kgsfitness7806 I do not mean to personally attack someone. But I am god fearing, that is why my words are sharp. If you talk about the bible you need to stick to the true teaching, otherwise you are misguiding people and misguidance in terms of pushing people away from the true gospel always originates from a spirit that is of the antichrist, completely irrespective of what your channel actually is about. As soon as you mention the word of god you will have me who is going to correct you in case you are making up sayings and teachings which do not correlate with what the bible actually says. “Whosoever goes forward and abides not in the doctrine of the Christ has not God. He that abides in the doctrine, he has both the Father and the Son. If any one come to you and bring not this doctrine, do not receive him into the house, and greet him not; for he who greets him partakes in his wicked works.“ 2 John 1:9‭-‬11 I see that your channel is aiming at giving people instructions as to how to train correctly. All I want to tell you is: If you are not schooled and if you do not know about the bible please do not mention the scripture in a false and untrue manner; you are going to be called to account for that by Lord Jesus. God loves his creation, but he hates sin. Every human is loved by god, but if this human does not believe in what Lord Jesus did at the cross and repents from his sin he or she will be condemned; that is a fact. God is love, at the same time he is pure justice and does not have any kind of companionship with sin. It is important to not only mention the loving side of god. The Gospel of Lord Jesus says that if you do not believe in Lord Jesus, there is no way for you to be saved. You will be condemned to hell. When you say that my commentary was inappropriate regarding the content of your channel there is something you did not consider: When you mention the bible and put things into the bible which the bible does not say I have the duty and the will to intervene. There is no relation to your channel content. Please do not feel attacked or offended by my words, everything I tell you is the truth. If you have questions as to what I told you feel free to ask. God loves you and does not want you to get lost. Please repent from your sins and come to Lord Jesus so that in case I will not meet you in this live you and me will talk in heaven to the side of Lord Jesus. I really hope that one day I will call you my brother in Lord Jesus. I pray for you.
