One minor change you might look at. The first 2 chords are "D m13" (without D, A, E) and "F# m7b5" (without F#) ... ie: "10 on D, 10 on G, 12 on B" and "10 on D, 9 on G, 10 on B" .. watching live video of Alex playing this it appears this is what he is playing, tri-tones of "D m13" and "F# m7b5" .. it is even recommend that you fret the F# so that if you accidently tonify it, it will ring true to the chord and mode intended. You can see Alex doing exactly this in his live performances. Here is but one example: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJ6WnXilZ8aqsLM

I have to comment again... Alex is in blistering form here. the solo has so many different emotions in it... Its dark, edgy, hopeful, soaring, intensely beautiful jaw droppingly emotive. RIP brother Neil. Thanks DeanO x

One of my favorite Rush songs, and my favorite Alex Lifeson solo...( It always reminds me of the solo from Bitter Suite by Marillion)

I was just graduating high school when this album came out and some people said they didn't care for it because they said it was too dark sounding, I think it's an awesome album and I loved Alex's playing in this Signals - P/G time frame.

8:37 Low E to high e; 3, x, 3, 0, 1, 0 // 5, x, 5, 0, 3, 0 (3) // 2, x, 2, 0, 0, 0 sounds much better and mess around with ;) But each note has to be hit precise with the music, little off and it sound bad. Intro lick; I slide up to 5th and 7th fret. Vers I play; x, x, x, 5, 6, 7 // x, x, x, 5, 5, 5 just like the synth. But that's just my 2 cents... what do I know? :)
