Excellent job. Your playing is superb. And you are absolutely right about Mr. Peart's drumming. His ability to tastefully provide time changes and fills within a single song is a gift. It's one thing to learn his playing note for note, which you have done beautifully, we all must remember he actually came up with these masterpieces. And this particular song, he came up with when he was in his 20s!!! Keep playing and sharing! 🙌

But every now and then you run across one that makes you rewind and remind and rewind to to make sure you heard it correctly. And tag you're it. Really good timing and knowledge of music period. Thank you for putting this out there. I've really enjoyed watching and listening. I've not to long ago lost one of the greatest guitarists I've ever met to suicide. Echo the sentiments below ... I live outside of CLE now and was 28 when I left Canada in a top 40 cover band ... much has been said about Neil Peart as a drummer ... he himself said he was more relentless than talented ... but what impresses me about him (besides his lyric writing) is his compositional ability on drums? I mean, I could sit down and work these parts out and eventually play them, but to CREATE them ..? Like me have you ever fantasized about what it must have been like when Ged and Alex came to him with their music ..? So, first you come up with perfect parts and then you have to remember them ..? I always wonder, how long did it take to get some of these songs written, rehearsed and recorded ..? Did those 2 leave Neil alone with a cassette or what ...? Did they just jam on the parts and if so, for how long ..? I think Hemispheres was recorded in England ..? That kinda thing is what I find interesting ..? Great job Adam.

I'm trying to find fault with this but it is as smooth as the spaghetti strand in that salacious scene in Lady and the Tramp. As a 53 year old master of these classic percussional arrangements from the Peart of 21 years of age, I can only offer you two pieces of my sagely advice ......... there is no correlation between china that looks like psychedelic mushrooms and manipulating the space time continuum of this piece .... lastly playing in a silky kimono reduces ass friction enabling a more snappy attack on the tom rack from both directions but there can be slight ball drag on occasion so proper pedal technique is paramount.
