This Score is Genie Ass!! An Opus of Majesty!! The Birds (Eagle) Eye view of Neil is a very sharp focus! Some probably viewed him as Anti-social for being Non-social but when you are at that level, to listen to the Yammering of a basic sound maker that doesn't have a stop button could be agonizing! Awesome Job Nena! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎

The best band ever being analyzed by the best reactor on KZbin. Rush had an intelligence and a depth few bands could match. Coupled with their exquisite musicianship, lyrics such as these resonated on several levels with a wide range of listeners. They challenge you to think about the words and revel in the music equally. Neil was a wordsmith and a poet who gave Rush an amazing canvas to complete with their timeless musical gifts. They were unique and in my mind unmatched. unmatched.

Neil always had duplicate and triplicate meanings for what he wrote, leaving it up to the listener to interpret. That type of genius who can drum, write lyrics that are sustainable and thought provoking is one in a million. We are truly blessed. Thank you, you brought thought into this❤️

Thanks for the nice analysis on my favorite song ever, a worthy conclusion to my favorite album. I agree with everything you said. The music, with its triumphant crescendo, completes the text giving this continuous sensation of evolving, changing at every chord progression, always adding something new, giving a sense of growth as in a Fibonacci sequence: wheel within wheels, time after time, a quantum leap forward, wavw after wave, tide after tide. The use of all these "epanalepsis" amplifies the lyrics emotionally... and the song ends with the sound of the sea as it began (will flow and recede leaving life to go on as it was). "Art as expression - Not as market campaigns" takes up the Spirit of Radio (the beginning and end of the album merged togheter). Greetings from Italy

This is why I love Rock, you can have a deep analysis towards a song's lyrics and at the same time enjoy the great music. Rush's a phenomenal example, a band with three smart and skilled musicians, who tell great stories with their catalogue and also provide hours of reflection regarding their lyrical content. Amazing video, Nena 🤘🏼😊

My fave tune to play from the band, both on a stereo, and on the guitar, it's one of their more difficullt pieces to complete w/o a mistake(s), and even Alex admitted a back in the 2,000' that it was thee most complex piece to play live. Brilliant observation yet once again Nina !

Really like the analysis, that’s interpretation. I always understood some sections as more simply explained such as “wheels within wheels in a spiral array”, simply put this is a almost literal explanation of the DNA molecule 🧬 Other, “a quantum leap forward in time and space, the universe learn to expand”, again simply put, this is the Big Bang. From nothing, with a infinitesimal leap forward, the universe learned to expand

Thank you for making me discover this amazing song ! I sadly still didn't get to listen to many of Rush's songs. I fully agree with your analysis. You're right this song is probably more relevant now than ever. Neil really predicted the future in this song and that in every aspect. Sidetracking to MBTI, this shows the visionary capabilities of Ni (he's an INTJ). I totally agree with him on what art should be and have to say he was absolutely right on what it sadly has become.

Great job, Nina !!!! The only thing I want for your consideration is the verse "Wheels within wheels a pattern so grand and complex." I thought Neil was making a reference to the D.N.A. of life. Maybe the strand in particular?

My favorite Rush song. The Mess and The Magic. Triumphant and Tragic. I could write a book in the amount of insight that Neil alludes to. And originally it was going to be about Sir Gawain. But Neil scrapped it in favor for the new direction of the band and penned this.

"Wheels within wheels" reminds me of the Ptolemiac view of the universe (Earth is the center of the universe and everything else revolves around us). In itself, this is obviously wrong. But it points out that science is a process which can only move forward by proving itself to be wrong.
