Without trying to diminish Hunt's abilities and merits, Nikki will be remembered as a greater than life legend, and Hunt just as his rival...

Pablo Villaverde maybe for f1 fans but the others he will stay as a star who give his best at one moment and focus at the performance ,not the title.

Niki didn't lose He didn't even race and thearoretically got a place that gave him zero points if he had all he would of had to do was beat himself at that place get 1or 2 points game over champion again and Hunt didn't win that race he got 3rd but enough point to win by 1 point Niki didn't have to beat Hunt he only had to get 1 pointleaving Hunt with 1 less. Niki was right he never said it but Hunt was not even in his league. He missed a bunch of races stopped 1 race in Japan and still almost beat Hunt. No Competition game over.

Wonderful and inpirational movie, and Niki had lived much more than a full life. The ending scene of the movie was very good.

avevo 14 anni quando è successo. sapevo chi era, tutti ne parlavano. deve aver sofferto molto, è stato coraggioso e forte, rimane un mito. a farmi rivivere quei lontani momenti il film mi ha profondamente commosso!

I still think that Daniel deserves an Oscar for this and he just didn't get one because (old) f1 is not known well enough in the us. He learned how to speak Austrian, he learned how to speak English with an Austrian accent and he learned to speak like Niki did. That performance was just amazing. I love this movie and it's music. I am glad that this was made and Niki confirmed it. I will use this music to remember him. A great person with integrity. RIP

That was the time though... ...people really didn't care if the drivers died. Not like they care today. The ending of the movie Grand Prix, with the mistress of the great dead driver screaming at the fans and media that all they wanted to see was his blood was substantially correct. Sadly, we see the same stupidity in play when I watch sports like the NFL and the fans and owners demands that players put their life and body on the line for entertainment. I see it still in the NCAA which refuses to allow student athletes any chance to monetize the risks they take for entertainment.

Nikki started F1 in 1971, the year I turned 1, by the time I was old enough to appreciate Formula 1, he was champion and my favourite. I remember him racing in my country, South Africa at Kyalami, though I only watched on TV. I was amazed that my champion was racing not far from where I stayed. I remember seeing his accident on the news, and him returning. Respect Nikki, RIP After Nikki, it was Ayrton, his passion, his drive, similar to Nikki, for more than a decade he kept me cheering, then came his death, Respect Ayrton, RIP Then it was the turn of Michael Schumacher, race after race, tearing up the track, winning again, and again, defying the odds with his aggressive driving, man it was brilliant, and he retired, un hurt, at the peak. And then his accident, on the kiddies slope, skying with his son. All the best man. All the best. The three greatest F1 drivers in history, you each raised a boy, then a young man, to love a sport...... And it was never the same since you left.
