Fucking amazing. I'm a 58 year old guitarist who cut his teeth on anything Lifeson. Be it Ryan or Neil, I never could wrap my head around such prog-techie precision. Maybe there drummers who think the same way about us guitarists of this genre. Nonetheless, I love the "math/science geek nerd" environment and displine of this stuff. Other references? Try early Genesis, Yes, and, of course, RUSH. Later would come Dream Theater, Derek Sherinian, Vitalij Kuprij (cult following--underrated Ukranian prog metal), amongst others. Ryan, you slay it every time. Thank you, young man, for keeping Neil alive. After all, legends don't die. This, coming from a wannabe Rush guitarist who'd love to jam with you on your kit. \m/!

Fun fact, back in early 1982, I had friends in Canada. Their house was part of the Subdivisions video, portraying the neighborhood cam shots. This was long before drones existed. The aerial shots were on done from helicopters. Pretty cool, watching this video, and your friend's house and Buick station wagon in the driveway being shown on tjhis video--both ground and helicopter shots. The guys from Rush? So cool, polite, inviting, lovely 3-some of Canucks.

I’ve known this song intimately since I was 16. I’m now 56. I cannot fault this performance in any way. Even the feel was right; let’s face it despite his greatness, The Professor had kind of a stiff feel; always right on top of the beat, and you nailed it. Well done.
