Awesome! I can feel the maple syrup and beer flowing through my veins as I type.

Great job B. I was the bass and keyboard player for a Rush Tribute called 'Blame Canada', in DC and then later in and around San Antonio Texas for about 10 years. I appreciate the effort you've gone through to produce these videos, so thank you for that. I enjoy seeing how others work out the fingering on different Rush tunes. The Analog Kid is one of the tougher ones to play and I had to work through different people's tabs to figure out what worked for me. But again, thanks for your effort. All the best!

Yeah... we had a lot of fun with it. Instead of the star on the logo we used a maple leaf. If you look closely at my image you'll see I'm wearing Jodhpurs and a mounty hat. When we played I either wore that or a lumberjack gitup. @@feral7094

Great job! What a stunning bassline. And to think he sings AND plays it! Mind blowing.

One of the sickest bass tracks ever, even the major notes were heavy

WOW mate, you played that bass line to perfection. It's the best version I've seen so far. Rush are my favorite band. Congratulations for learning one of the most complicated bass lines ever.

Anyone that gives this man a thumbs down comment and prove you can do better and make a video! Trolls! Why all the hate?? Stop being jealous and show what you got. Freddy doesn’t play a typical top 40 chug along Bassline and playing his stuff amid the constant time signature changes and intricate fills, hammer ons and pull offs it’s really a challenge even to long time bass players. Any bass player that can hit all or very close to all the notes, has my deepest respect.

Why arent you playing a Jazz Bass?
@xanderdaniels82843 жыл бұрын
Geddy likely didn't use a jazz bass for this recording. He mostly used a Steinberger during the time this album was recorded. If it wasn't his Steinberger, it was probably either his Wal Mk1 or his Rickenbacker.
@NickLincoln Жыл бұрын
"Signals" was nearly all Fender Jazz, with the Rickenbacker on "Countdown". The Steinberger didn't come out until around "Grace Under Pressure" in 1984 @@xanderdaniels8284
