Our band The Seers played with The Pillows in Japan 90-91. Great guys and top musicians. Hello to Pea Yoshiaki, Shinichiro, Kenji and Sawao. 22 albums later? What an amazing career they've had. Well done guys.

The '916' on the drummers shirt is supposed to reference the day The Pillows formed: September 16, 1989. He's wearing it because 1999, the year this song came out, was the bands 10 year anniversary

Everyone always says "Japanese Weezer" but they're really more like The Pixies or Blur or Oasis.
@Remembrancer4 жыл бұрын
I’ve heard them called the Japanese Oasis once before.

They're definitely more inline with The Pixies, especially on the album where this song comes from. There's two tracks called Backseat Dog and Kim Deal which are literally just homages to The Pixies

Thank you Furi Kuri for introducing me to this gem and many others.
This song is excellent. It makes me wonder about how many different songs I am missing out on because it is in a different language and/or the poetry and beauty of the song is lost in translation. I know this applies to a lot of non-English speaker since so much internationally released music are in English. Any thoughts?
