Still hoping for a release of video of Neil's solo from this show.

Yeah it would be great. Probably my favorite solo of his. You would think they have it somewhere.

All other great bands are a distant second. Rush is my #1 favorite band of all time. Started as a 15 year old, back in 1981 and never looked back.

How is it that the most stellar drum solo in rock history recorded on this tour was never recorded on video?!
@ronaldnorris8734 күн бұрын
I was just saying the same thing. That little snippet of Neil at the end proves that it was at least partially recorded. You can clearly see the part of his solo where he’s transitioning to that iconic cowbell part.

@@ronaldnorris873 Why was it cut in the first place??? Would rather have had YYZ over Closer to the Heart

How is it that the ending credits say, "Drums and percussion. Neil Peart"? Seriously. How did that make it past every bit of editing and the eyes and hands of all involved? Geeze.

I wish they showed them playing YYZ in the film, full length with the drum solo. One of their best songs. When you were at a Rush concert and heard Neil Peart playing that crotale at the beginning of YYZ; chills.

I regret not appreciating Rush in their prime (was a metelhead in the 80's) so I am glad I get to look back and live it in some small way not missing it completely.

My 16yo butt was there. Had no idea I'd be watching history. What stood out was Alex's new look. Shorter hair and his new wave vibe. Max Webster was a great opener.

Imagine having pro-shot footage of an early 80’s Neil Peart solo and making the executive decision to leave it on the cutting room floor and not preserve it. Same for the 1984 footage…which may or may not have been found.
