I was on a vacation when i've heard about Neil Peart's passing. Rush is one of the bands that got me into progressive rock/metal. Great tunes, great musicians and great drummer. Here's a cover of one of my favourite songs by Rush - YYZ. Rest in peace Neil!

The intro run up starting on the 4th fret 2nd(A) string, is the correct position as played here - 0:37 - I notice some players play it higher on the neck, which makes its sound more shreddy. Your position allows for the feel of the lower frets and looser strings on a lot of the positions. Some so-called you tube pros suggest playing higher up but they are just inexperienced and wrong. Sounds good - nice work!!

I think Alex (Lifeson) actually plays the part starting higher up on the E. I’m not saying that playing it on A is necessarily wrong but if you wanna be “correct” to where they play (and assumingely how it’s recorded), I believe it’d start on the C at 8th on the E string But, to each their own lol some parts in different positions are easier for some compared to others // we don’t all have the same shreddie hands hahah Also I forgot to add on lmao I agree, great cover/playing !!
