So true. Hadi Matar, like other publicity-hungry assassins in history, is a nobody who wanted to be a somebody. He's a kind of parasite that feels he can shine in the shadow of Salman Rushdie. However, Salman Rushdie, an intelligent, talented man, can still rise above his new physical ailments and keep writing high literature and poignant essays. @@chrisf1600 as far as I remember Islamist extremists are still human correct? I consider it to be dangerous to place such a divide between such people and ourselves, these people represent the worst tendencies of humanity in general, these things don’t happen in a vacuum. We all have ability to do such terrible things as they have done, the same mechanisms which prompt us to any violent or egoistical thought is the same that caused this brutal assault, if we don’t constantly remind ourselves of this we make it that much harder to notice ourselves tending towards the same direction.
