sounds like you came into contact with some unusual bacteria in that water, probably from putting your head under water. you were smart to seek medical help. this could have ended badly. In a modern hospital they might have cultured the bacteria first and you would have gotten the correct antibiotics on the first try. the reason you got worse after the first drug as it didn't completely kill off the bacteria and it made you weaker. I've seen this a few times. so happy to see you recovered.

Thank you for your insight. Yea, that's what I'm thinking. I think the waterfall had some bacteria. I 'm happy that I was able to get medical care eventually. Thank you so much. :)
