I honestly can't believe this isn't a parody of some sorts. From how unlivablely large the house is, to how small the staff quarters are and saying you could even "Fit 4 staff each in the rooms" like slaves, to how Michael keeps complimenting blatantly garbage rooms, to how often he brings up his ex wife, to the women's toilets having a video of the men peeing, to the consistent rambling about how this house is going to change the world. This video is a masterpiece, for all the wrong reasons.

I wonder what drive him so crazy. There is absolutely no scenario I can think of, where someone wants to buy this house. It's ugly and it's the size for 50-100 people. Nobody wealthy would want to live with that many people and also nobody wants to pay for bedrooms he will never every use unless he sleeps in a different one every night.
@ostentatioussavant69753 жыл бұрын
@@electricpaisy6045 That's not true at all. People buy big houses like this because they like to entertain. This house doesn't seem to have as many bedrooms as other large homes, it just has super large rooms (ie a 4,000 sf master suite). Also, the house itself is only like 35k sq ft. Lots of comparable sized homes in the US. This house just has a lot of extra room for throwing parties and having people over. You think rich people, particularly those in LA, just live alone? I'd buy this house in a heartbeat, except for the fact it's in LA. Maybe in the 1980s, but lol @ living there in 2021. Speaking of which, covid has probably really hurt this property. Lots of people with money are fleeing LA at a record place to live in nicer areas of the country.

I've seen much more expensive houses on this channel, but this house is definitely much better than them! Because it gives people the feeling of "home".

Yeah, the most impressive thing about this house is how it still manages to look cheap and overly simplistic for that price. I have seen so many waaaaaay more luxurious looking mansions that cost a fraction of this. Feels so trite and lame to say this, but it is true. I generally don't like this trend of everything being white. It looks so boring and makes all the rooms look boxy and nondescript. 10+ years ago, high end mansions were still exiting, with cool wall features, a playful use of indirect ambient lighting and interesting colors. Some looked like sets from a "Conan the Barbarian" movie, which might sound tacky, but at least they were interesting and daring. I get when someone keeps a home simple to make it easier to sell, I hate it, but I get it, but that clearly doesn't apply to the most expensive private residence in the northern hemisphere.

He just applied minimalism to everywhere cause it's so big. No thought put into anything. It's so sad. Probably better as a future.musuem. like Newport.

He has built it as a blank canvas probably deliberately. If you are spending 500 million on a property you are likely a multi billionaire who will probably do a full scale personalisation of the interiors. So its unlikely that this is the finished interior product. More its just showing the scale of the structure.

@@mnb9162 If you're spending $500m on a property you're getting it as-is. No billionaire is wasting their time customizing 105k sqft they will just buy a new house that has what they want.

@@alpha.gamma.dingdong Hence why he cant sell it. A lot more than the asking price needs to be spent on it...The Top bedrooms are not even that impressive for that money... This is a commercial project not a residential one.
