Why was no one on anchor watch in the wheelhouse?? With that wind... That's a big oops... Lucky another boat had an attentive watch-stander

You can set a radar or GPS alarm to you when you are dragging. Should in that weather also have a guy on anchor watch in the wheel house

@@edmeds1336 ok I already said zero, I have not crab fished in Alaska. Most people haven’t. We were talking about anchor alarms, or having someone on anchor watch. It is my personal opinion, a person could know about these things without having crab fished in Alaska. Maybe you could explain why this is not true. Perhaps I Will learn from you, the Alaska crab fishermen. Thanks in advance for the explanation, have a nice evening.

You should all ways have some one on watch. I work as some sort of inter in a ship to see what it was like and even when dock we had a person on watch because you know, a robe can broke, generator can over heat, ship next to you can catch fire, some drunk guy can try to come about(yes it did happen)...

@@JeepinBoon I wouldn't have used that analogy, but ok... Truth is, it's reality scripted tv... It used to be more realistic in the first few years, but after awhile you can't keep showing the same thing on the Deadliest Catch over and over, so the producers have the crew basically make you believe that something happened that didn't. I think the show is painting a picture of things that can possibly go wrong while out to sea. The actual season for that particular 🦀 species only last 3 or 4 weeks but they make you believe there fishing for month's.

@@1solosoldier You're 100% correct. I do miss the good old days of Deadliest Catch. I service a tug (on call 24/7/365) that crosses a river and there are three anchors aboard. I love every trip there. I wish I could live on that boat.
