Siberia, Greenland, and Nunavut are all huge and have potential for lots of undiscovered species! I wish the native stories were available online

Probably not still alive right now. But when they start cloning them like we've been planning, Alaska would be a good home for them

@@jandrews6254Well they only went extinct 4,000 years ago along with the rest of the mega fauna. The food they ate is still alive and well today so food actually wouldn’t be a problem at all. People have the misconception *I am not implying you at all* that mammoths are a super ancient animals when in fact they were still walking around when the pyramids were under construction. Kind of cool to think about.

💯 the natives were either messing with the new guys as they pulled mammoths out of collapsed permafrost, or they actually believed the mammoths they found dead in open permafrost frost were alive until recently, due to the remarkable preservation in permafrost. The “fresh blood” is a sign of remarkable cryo mummification.

This makes sense I believe you dude. There are so many places in Alaska that we have not explored, Mammoths could still be alive.

@ it’s not possible for an elephant sized animal to remain undetected on land. And dodos can’t just “leave the island” dodos are extinct and mammoths are definitely gone

its definitely extinct now, but even though north america was discovered by europeans 500 years ago ALOT of north america wasnt explored or documented until way more recently, the "expedition" to cross vancouver island was in 1866, im sure its possible that mammoths could have lived up until recently

I hope mammoths are still walking around. I'm confused about Alaska being perfect for this. If Alaska was not ice covered during the ice age, it makes sense. For mammoths to survive till and today is a problem though. Alaska is snow coveted for most of the year. What could they eat in Alaska? Mammoths are huge and would consume a lot of grass. Surely they would have been spotted foraging for food.

Why wouldn’t we have them ,we have Nessie the lochness and many countries have their own version of that species,the scientists aren’t always right you know ,do u know how deep the ocean is -do you know how big some of these cave systems are out there in the world and how vast mountains are ,humans can’t get to a lot of these remote places with out helecopters dropping them off and collecting them a couple of weeks later ,there are no humans out there living ,just the wilderness ,of course they can be out there ,and don’t forget people have actually reported sightings of them over the years ,just no one really believes them ? I have no idea whynot?

All you have to do is take a flight over the Pacific Northwest, and you will see how uninhabited the land is, especially up here in BC, Canada 🇨🇦. I was stunned. I new from reading and books that this was so, but it took seeing it, to really KNOW it. The jet I was on could have crashed and never been found. I thought I heard recently about a WW2 bomber that was just found in a heavily forested area. There is definitely lots of space for sasquatch to remain hidden, and access food. Mammoths I know less about. Probably have a specialized diet, unlike Sasquatch, that can eat anything I'm willing to bet. Mammoth would need a specialized habitat to make it.

$$$$ ... That's why. Gold miners find them all the time. Limited yes.. but the permafrost is littered with tons of them. The term "limited" is what makes that guy's art worth much, much, much MORE than normal ivory art. Mammoth ivory is not illegal like present day ivory is. Art made from a 35 thousand year tusk can be worth 20 times the actual price paid for the found tusk.

So, these same ppl who were SO scared of a 400lb. Sasquatch that they abandoned their whole town, are the same ones that can bring down a 4 ton mammoth with one spear like a boss? I'm only surprised this show hasn't asked: does Santa and his elves really exist!?
@alaskalograft
@alaskalograft 10 ай бұрын
I used to meet up with Santa at North Pole Alaska and we'd go mammoth hunting together. Rudolph pulled the sled we hunted with. When we returned we stuffed the mammoth meat down the chimney and it came out the bottom all smoked and ready to eat. What we didn't eat right away, Mrs Clause would store in stockings hung on the mantle (with care) might go on another hunt this winter around Dec 24th if we can get some paying clients. Out of state hunters must have registered guides.
