I shared a dorm at Cheltenham College Junior School about 45 years ago with him, and honestly he hasn't changed a bit. Well done to him for showing superb leadership.

Those are SAS wings on his right arm and he has had 3 related positions; 1. 22 SAS Squadron Officer Commanding 2. 22 SAS Commanding Officer 3. Director of Special Forces --------- Respect earned in abundance.

The CGS reminds me of Gen Horrocks, very attractive, knowledgeable with a bit of wit. The wings on the arm say the rest!

A warm welcome to your new role sir. While I admire your analysis and desire to bring some real and much-needed change to the British Army, I wonder what you have to make of the National Security Capability Review 2017-2018 by RUSI, which effectively condemns the Army to less than satisfactory Government spending in real terms.

Perfect but - we must not forget by trying to take away ucraine from russia 'by means of the market driven economy' (sind sind more means)) was a huge mistake of the west and underestimated Moscow. As we today know. And we shouldn't go to war for that mistake without reconsidering the whole spectrum of our capabilities.
