Took notes for anyone who's interest: 1- Instead of having a cut off look in your shot, zoom in 2- Keep your phone at chest level when taking selfies 3- Take photos using flattering angels (test to find your best angles) 4- You should align your leg with the camera edge (don't leave a lot of space between your legs and the bottom edge of the picture) 5- Wear nude shoes to make your legs appear longer 6- When you want to flaunt your legs, apply body butter or body lotion 7- Switch to selfie mode so you can see how your pose looks 8- Be in a good mood while taking photos 9- Use grid lines to ensure that your photos are straight 10- Take sitting photos from a higher angle rather than straight on

Summarization - Instead of getting close with the camera zoom in. This applies to both close-up face pictures and body shots. - Use your flattering angles + good sides. Full-body shots should be taken from the chest. - Full-body shots sitting down need to be taken from an upper angle. However not too high but remember not too low. - Use camera distortion to your advantage. Your legs facing the edge of the camera makes them appear longer. - Nude color shows make you appear taller. (Even open toed) - Bigger shoes make your legs appear slimmer. - Use body moisturizer to make pictures more “glowy” over dull - Ask someone to take pictures of you in selfie mode so you can self adjust the camera. - take pictures in a good mood. Music helps! - Camera grid lines help you know where to take your pictures. - Grid has to be parallel to the horizon. (It helps it look straight) - Sitting on the ground requires lower angles.

The tip about making sure you’re in a good mood to take pictures and if you’re sad they won’t turn out good, is SO true!! It sounds like bs but I noticed this recently! I was taking pics with my bf while at the beach and I was in a grumpy mood. I hated the way I looked in those pics! I did my makeup and hair and everything the way I always do that looks great on me, I felt good about it. But yeah wow you could totally tell something was different in the pics I took and it’s because I was in a shit mood. The pics I took the next day when I was in a better mood turned out much better and I had done my makeup and hair the exact same way as the day before. So mood def affects photos!!

A photographer tip: Don't zoom in, with the phone's camera it's just going to reduce the quality of the photo, instead take the photo as it is, and crop it afterwards... But of course if you use a professional camera such as Cannon, Nikon and such, you can zoom in as much as your camera allows you to xD Another tip: You actually don't have to zoom in or crop, you can go closer to the person, but while doing so, every time you cget closer, get the camera a bit lower, that would avoid that awkward big upper body and small lower body thing!
