Russ Miller Online Classroom: Converting Moeller to the Pedals

In this lesson from Module 1 of the "Foot Technique Lab", Russ will be discussing and demonstrating how to convert the "Moeller" technique of the hands, to the pedals. Building speed, power and dynamics with the bass drums, is a major part of developing your "feel" and facility on the pedals. Russ demonstrates creating multiple notes, with one movement on the pedals. He also discusses creating "flurries" of notes, to mimic drum machines and create super fast singles on the feet. Also covered, is how to create a much better sound from the bass drum.

looks like the heel toe method to me you're only adding a third note, but useful anyhow thanks

indeed. Looks like that to me too. I;d like to see a nice concise explanation of how moeller differs from heel-toe differs from constant release. very interchangeable according to many people... but why the names? why pretend they;re different. Or are they actually!? if so, how so?
