My mum has wanted me to sing this at her funeral all my life. Sadly the last time she heard me sing was when I was able to sing with Janet Paschal. Only tonight did I discover that Johnny Cash sang this song. After Johnny I got excited. Tomorrow is mothers day. I'm going to sing this for my mom and I hope she will be happy about it. Have been a Russ Taff fan for over 30 years, but have never seen this video. He ALWAYS puts his all onto whatever he sings, but here he just took it to another level. He was preachin singing this song, and like one of the other comments, I would have been up dancing for sure. The instrumentation backing him up sounded like the Allman Brothers Band. This was filmed in Northern Ireland and I believe us irish are a little more Conservative when it comes to public displays of joy especially in a live Christian music setting. I don't think the audience would have seen anything like this before and weren't sure how to respond. Maybe the artists felt that lack of energy from the audience.?!
