After falling behind by as much as 25 points, the LeBron-less Lakers nearly crawled all the way back against the New York Knicks last night, but came up short down the stretch in a 106-100 loss. Russell Westbrook finished with a triple-double on the night, with 18 of his 31 points coming in the third quarter to tie the game. Afterward, he addressed LA’s slow starts, saying quote: 'We weren’t playing hard enough, simple. When we decided to play harder, it made a significant difference.' Russ had an amazing game, he had just as many stops as he did turn overs. Believe it or not he's really changing his game. Look how much calmer he is on offense, he's becoming a facilitator. Once he develops a consistent jumper the Lakers are a WAY better team, unfortunately him bringing the ball up and not being a threat just hurts a lot

He Russ but jacks up even more shots than Russ does. 44% from 2 and 35% from 3. He's league average from 3 and only .7 better than Russ from 2. So it's not like he's this great shooter either. If they take his flops in the paint away he barely a 17 point scorer who turns it over just like Russ. Russ gives you more assists and rebounds with about the same turnovers. Russ 23 a game Harden 25. So where's the difference. Russ is better all around than Harden. Harden has done zero when it matters. But sure take Harden. You aren't winning with him. History shows this.

they have 0 road wins vs a playoff team so far and 1 win vs a playoff team in the west and its vs the most likely 8th seeded by the end of season currently 7th seeded grizzlies(due to injuries to the nuggets lakers)...let the record show..lets see how long that keeps up cause we are 20 games in now after tonight with indy whose not a playoff team and they will still have 0 road wins win or lose this game vs a playoff team and 1 total win vs a west playoff team...20 games into their season.....and their 3 wins vs playoff teams have been by an average of 3 points at home which is basically 1 point wins lets be real(1 was vs the butler less heat so it does not even count) cause at home your rewarded 2 points a night just due to bench guys playing better at home so they are basically winning by a ft a night at home vs 2 semi good teams (1 time with bron playing over 40 minutes)....that hornets win looks good without bron but it was when they lost like 5 in a row to be fair and looked awful in the other 4 games(and we know not to trust the hornets to make the playoffs or if they do its like as an 8th seed maybe a 9th seed)....and the heat without butler are not a playoff team out west so that win looks worse and worse by the day cause without butler or oladipi miami probably is a 10th seed at best out east maybe 11th...even if butler gave them a quarter of action vs la...its not enough...
