Russell Brand was too smart for Katie Perry and for Wendy Williams. He didn't get a chance to talk about his book, Revolution, cause Wendy kept talking about irrelevant, inappropriate, personal topics and that's why he kept the sticker there, to remind her that she's getting personal.
@mibella9 жыл бұрын
+Hana Gaamoom I never analyzed the sticker that way.. a warning device. Great. I feel sorry for Russell because he really wanted to spread a message about humanity but Wendy shut him up. I guess Wendy really NEEDS ALL of her shows to be based on gossip (because of low budgeting or maybe not intellectual enough to hold these type of conversations).. exactly the kind of stuff that contradicts all of Russell's Philosophy. Also look at the title of this video it's vain. How ironic that a tv personality would mix up flattery with reality. I cringed when she used "refreshing" in regards to his philosophy of creating an awareness of the damaging effects of pop culture to human interpersonal relationships. To me it was as if she saying: I was supposed to go for a walk last week but today I'll hold off on the cab because a walk sounds refreshing.

+Amalika Fau You're really missing the point.
@mibella9 жыл бұрын
+dragonsky799 what point? or who's point are we referring to?
@dragonsky7999 жыл бұрын
+Amalika Fau I just interpreted her use of the word "refreshing" differently. I think her use of that word in reference to Russell is accurate. He is refreshing, and totally unique compared to most actors. He's not contrived, is honest and open (for the most part), and seems to be gracious and quite charming. I find all those things refreshing when I see them on a talk show like that.
@mibella9 жыл бұрын
+dragonsky799 Ok actually I took it out of content. It wasn't the usage of the word in that context but the fact that Wendy is saying it. The ideals that Russell brings up in A LOT of his interviews contrasts with the majority if not all the of trivial questions Wendy was bringing up in THIS INTERVIEW with him. This interview just poorly represented his ideals. Questioning his personal sex life (in order to please the audience) after he was JUST trying to explain how people must stop following celebrities, didn't depict at all what he was trying to manifest.

The true awesomeness of him though is that he attempts to use his intelligence for the good of the people. He is a politcal and social activist, which makes him tops in my book. Take a look at his interviews on social and political affairs, whether one agrees with all that he says or not, one has to admit he has thought and learned plenty about the subjects he's passionate about and can usually out talk most. He seems to see past the bs of our current system of wealth, power, and corruption.

Russell Brand changed Wendy's mind. I remember watching Hot Topics several times in the past two years and I remember Wendy saying he looked gross and scruffy, and unattractive. This is a complete 360 from her past comments. I am glad Russell would not focus because it made him entertaining.
@jfkluge10 жыл бұрын
I don't watch Ms Willliams' show, but once I caught a few minutes of her Hot Topics as i was looking at the on-screen channel guide, and she talked about oh-poor-Katy Perry and "that vampire she (had been) married to." Which was why I was so surprised to see that he'd been on her show. I like Russell Brand--he seems terribly intelligent, with a brain that moves too fast for him to stay on topic. And he was clearly trying to distract Williams from her smarmy obsession with the sex-addiction topic by being funny.

Russel Brand is a total Establishment Fraud, serving the purpose of an Establishment opposition figure, fulfilling & giving the impression of a vocal anti-establishment personality. There has to be one....... might as well create him & fill that requirement. This is exactly what they have done in his case. They control his outspoken actions. He creates ripples when he could be making waves.True anti-establishment comedians don't get a chance to be seen on television. The powers-that-be are terrified of the scathing, brutally honest content of their work.... Example: Jerry Sadowitz in 1987 Repeat 1987........ I quote: ‘There have been serious allegations of child abuse in Cleveland. To my mind there is only one way to find out whether this is true or not and that’s to . . . CALL IN JIMMY SAVILE! You can’t afford to f*** about! Bring in an expert! Am I right? A friend of mine reckons Jimmy Savile is a paedophile. Rubbish - he’s a child-bender! That’s why he does all the f** charity work: it’s to gain public sympathy for when his f** case comes up.’ Unquote. Savile, because of his links with Royalty, continued for the remainder of his life ( Over twenty years ) to have full access to children's hospitals, especially keys to morgue's to have sex with the dead children. This is the absolute truth..... & not a word from Brand. Sadowitz is a brilliant comedian in a league far above the insipid little manufactured squeak named Brand. Listen to his work & it becomes obvious why he is barred from TV. vimeo.com/52162279

When he talked about addiction that was eloquently stated. It's so true.

I think that what is so special about Russell Brand is not that his his abilities are superhuman. It's that he's able to bottle humanity in a world that has forgotten its own humanity, and present it in an articulate, and authentic way.

My favorite thing about this dude is that he takes all that sex drive and his mind going at 100 MPH and all that, but still finds a way to be insightful, entertaining and genuine. He finds a way to be completedly honest about himself and the world around him, but in a very humoruous and polite way, for the most part. I've seen a lot of male celebs that either think they're betteer then everyone and hold themselves over people, or ones that have that sex drive but come off as sleazy, or intelligent people that come off more like a teacher or a judge and cant connect with you, but this dude seems to have aknack for making connections with people. And especially the fact that he can be constantly hitting on every woman he meets, and yet not get dozens of lawsuits or backlash thrown at him is a testiment to that. Always entertaining to watch and hear what he has to say.

That's such a simpleton's response-if you're highly creative, it must be because you are/were on drugs-said by someone who hasn't been creative since the age of 10.
