Understanding the real social issue regarding trans tantrums victimhood that seems like abusers but they are just scared and scarred kids: Regressive temporarely adopted copes using cognition in a reactive or defensive mode for protection and self preservation due to lack of proper orientation regarding career field, purpose, meaning and better humane treatment in public or social life that is usually very threatening, agressive and isolating for the meek weak and creative. Thus the bullied become somehow capable to adapt in order to avoid unecessary absurdistic imposings of society on them especially if they want to do something else and they aren't heard, listened or cared for in order to be properly educated, guided and helped for better allignings and attunings. Also they go for either excessive or total abstinence of sexual life in order to feel safe and bonded with someone that they can relate to their struggle of not being left to be creative, intuitive or inventive for things that fits betterly to their temperament and gifts. Truly strange indeed but it's an adaptation cope due to lack to inclusivity in a more holistic way and community, that's why those strange processes occur. Notice that the apparent demeanor of being that reactive will be temporary if better opportunities of genuine help will occur for elevation and appreciation of their real genuine talents, gifts and crafty capabilities.

Well, going to reply to you because that stupid bot pisses me off. And I agree with you. This is the fundamental principle behind why free speech is important and must be protected: our rights to agree and to disagree must be protected and we must have enough respect for EACH OTHER to understand that we're not always going to agree. As you pointed out, disagreement doesn't have to lead to disrespect. "Tolerance" means "I don't agree with you, but I won't persecute you for it." There has been a massive attempt to change that recently, so that it now means "if you don't agree with me, you hate me and intend violence towards me." That's absurd. But when that sort of interpretation is bandied about on campus to where young folk know nothing else, you get this environment where dissent must be crushed, and all dissenters are haters. When we reach this sort of environment, where there are no TRUE "non-binaries," I.E. "opinions that aren't right or wrong, they just exist," then you're living in tyranny. Whether social or political (it'll be both, and is), if your personal opinion is somehow "dissent" simply for existing... well, there's a problem. *shakes her head tired* Take care dad, it's a pleasure to meet you, I wish you all the best

most news outlets and talk shows already have their own views and beliefs for their audience and would try to dictate the outcome of the interview for the audience to agree with, that's how you would keep your viewing numbers up. that's why you would see most hosts would cut them off or talk over them to keep the outcome in their favor

But it is not truly honest. Jordan Peterson is pointing out that there is an agenda, and Russell Brand is just outright supporting that agenda out of 'compassion'. Why? Why not question the true motive before supporting regardless. If evil pushes an agenda do you just go along out of compassion? Jesus Christ says that to ignore or to go along with evil is to do evil. To not stand up and appose that evil is to go along with evil. What Russell said in his argument is wrong with that in mind. God created male and female. Full stop. Any agenda pushing other wise for public approval is not natural. No where else is nature is this agenda of 'more than' male and female pushed. It's Satanic and should be questioned as too it's true objective, agenda and nature.

Agree. And a big part is because they generally agree about a lot of the most common social topics of conversation. Generally being on the same side of the core issues even if you disagree on the remedy allows people to hear others better without their defense mechanisms being on full alert. Put folks in a room with someone who disagrees on the core issue and you can expect a lot more friction and defensiveness even amongst the most rational thinkers.

@@GMUTaylor6 you have 100% fallen for Brands audience capture if you think that him and Peterson are on the same page on most issues. Russell Brand is and has been left wing on nearly everything and has been for over a decade. He just knows that most of his clicks come from the pandemic debate so is very very careful to gear his content toward right wing talking points and ensure he never commits to a position left enough to be ditched by 2/3 of his audience. He is very clever in that he has convinced the US audience that because he points out that the Democrats are guilty of many of the things the Republicans are attacked for, that he is somehow sympathetic to the right. He’s shrewd. It’s why I have lost respect for the channel. I am all for open debate and removing labels but not when that is used as a way of driving views and ad revenue. That is exactly what the MSM that he criticises so much does. His KZbin channel is disingenuous and it’s completely at odds with the man.

A truly brilliant statement that many need to hear and consider. It is inherently a liberal trait to do so, believing that acceptance/compassion is an ultimate virtue and all that love comprises. Which is why the understanding that humans are inherently fickle and at least self-centred leads to conservatism.
@jacobnash9755
@jacobnash9755 Жыл бұрын
@@whirled_peas exactly they tend to let their feelings lead instead of intelligent thought. They trust their feelings over thinking. That's why they align things that "feel" good with other things that are good. Compassion feels nice and if you love someone you want them to feel nice... so obviously if you love someone you show compassion... That's a shallow understanding of the concepts and is false. Yes if you love someone you WANT them to feel nice... but also if you love them you want them to be better off in control of their own life. You want them to be treated as equals and not as lesser people. Well that requires honesty. They have to know things to make choices to be in control and they have to know the truth to make good decisions. However the truth can hurt. It would be compassionate to save them from that hurt... at a cost of something far greater. Their freedom. That's what manipulation is... a way to enslave someone outside of fair trade without bonds or laws. If you have to manipulate them to save them from some hurt then you have taken their freedom. And is the hurt even worth it? Would you enslave your friend just so they don't learn that their outfit isn't attractive? Many do. Their friends and families freedom and control over their own individual lives is unimportant compared to the risk of hurting that relationship. I'd rather they keep being my friend than be mad at me. That's selfish. Not compassion. Helping someone up after they have been knocked down is compassion. Waiting for them is compassion. Keeping them safe from everything that could possibly hurt them is not compassion. Even if it's you that is doing whatever that makes them hurt.

@jacobnash9755 Жыл бұрын
@@kammonkam4905 long winded false stament. You can have compassion without love and also love without compassion. There is nothing in their definitions that requires the other to be present. One would argue that the ultimate compassion is to show it to someone you do not have any love for. Also it is a very common theme in stories for parents to withhold compassion and punish their children harshly so that they won't make the same mistakes later when the world would likely kill them instead of just punishing them. You have wrongly conflated the two as I already described many to do. Obviously you shouldn't be suggesting that others need to brush up on logic when you fail at the most basic levels indicating that you have no basic understand of the meaning of logic.. Your entire line of reasoning is an excuse to be an extensigly emotionally abusive parent. Your "love" that requires compassion is not love. So you need to brush up on what love is. I love you that's why I try to control every aspect of your life out of compassion instead of supporting positive growth. That's not love. Love would require acceptance of how someone is diepite it being right or wrong. Your "love" does not contain requirements of love. You suggest (I take it) that Peterson is only "brilliant to the dim bulbs." Well the only error I can find with that is that it is a relative statment and YOU made it. Unless you were speaking from a point of view much much brighter than yourself, your relative statment is false. Objectfully it would be taken from the level of average intellect. Which would just make your statment a lie. I believe I am right to suggest that you are not so stupid as to make that "mistake." Maybe I am wrong and you are below average intellect and only posing with authority of knowing something... that's likely as your staments are very flawed... but I'm giving you the benifit of the doubt of being one of those that was above average but not enough to actually discern those far above yourself by their reasoning. You seem rather dim from my point of view and while compartive to myself I would not hold Peterson as brilliant, I can see no objection with holding him in such high regard compared to the common "above average" individual... most of whom seem pretty dim. I do not see myself as brilliant nor on Petersons level. He outpaces me. I just think brilliance is a gap of more than 10 by the measures of IQ (again as accepted my Mensa). Peterson is close to 160 I would guess. Maybe higher but I'm geared the same as he and I don't find anything he's said to be that enlightening. Only in his masterful use of descriptions and quick analogies do I find myself in awe. Not what he comes up with but how fast he can put it togeather and send it off in retort. However I'm intelligent enough to truly conceive of things smarter than myself. Idiots tend to know that fact without understanding while above average people tend to fail miserably at the concept. You fail at it. That's why it was easy to peg you. Ever so slightly above average but doesn't like to think when they think they don't have to.

This is one of the most respectful discussions I have ever seen..heated is not the right word..I love Russell Brand and I love Jordan Peterson...This discussion was more about what is the best way to get your point across when it's a passionate issue..totally enjoyed this video

I wouldn't say this was heated, this was a thoughtful debate and I'm here for it.

"heated" in title was there to move it up in the algorithm's sensational rating - An unfortunate byproduct of online metrics that would leave us all watching kitten and puppy videos if not used to create the dramatic impact to move it up the ratings. Oops - quick edit to disclaim that I have nothing against kitten and puppy videos - they most certainly have their place for happy moment needs.

@@bpro3762 I agree, I don't believe they should be playing the algorithm game. Plenty of subscribers!

@@2HatHudders I don't like it much, yet an unfortunate 'evil' as the algorithm game helps attract new viewers who would otherwise not get the benefit of the content as we subscribers do. So it helps get good content to more folk for all to benefit. Pleased to have met you sir. - Bern -

Russell, don't push your religion on us OR your gender views. Keep the channel neutral. You just lost one subscriber. bud. Peace

Without inputting any personal beliefs I thought this was an extremely well done interview. Neither side was cutting each other off mid sentence, and both sides were answering each other's argument without just restating their own side. Really well done both by Russell and Jordan.

I absolutely love that these two men have come together in conversation. They are the two voices I have listened to most over the past 2 1/2 years. Basically since Covid hit our shores. They are vastly different personalities with entirely differing expressions of communication. One is tongue in cheek (but definitely not lacking intellect), the other intense and serious. The fact that they are conversing together gives me great hope during a social era where conversation is largely a lost social norm. Too much preaching/being talked at, too much hate, too much judging and too much one sided perspectives. I also love that Russel can challenge Jordan (a very formidable persona) but do so in a way that doesn’t condemn or judge. “Do you think…” We need that more in our interactions with people rather than the chest beating “I think…” Thank you Jordan and Russel for this dynamic chit chat.

I like how Jordan called him out for basically being the same as him just in a more joking sarcastic / insincere manner. The thing is. Ultimately Jordan is right... however He could have a gentler presentation which might attract a wider range of listeners.. however He is not wrong in any sense of the word. His principles are sound. I'd rather Jordan be a little coarse in standing for truth than be passive or not stand at all when someone pushes an immoral narrative into the public arena.

A debate between 2 of my favourite people, whilst also both being highly intelligent, and also agreeing with everything said, is such a joy to watch. Thank you.
