I used to play football by myself because my brother didn’t like it. I had 2 goals in my garden and I’d get the sports paper that came every weekend and do a single person MOTD for the bottom leagues. I’d even do sliding tackles on thin air and celebrate important goals

I'd do the same, even have a table of made up teams some were fighting relegation, title battles, wrote out all the fixtures. Just was fun to me and passed the time

I’m 26 so I had a childhood that was these types of random things to do. we’d be like dad we’re building a go kart and he’d be like ok no worries kids! and just get a hammer nails and some wood and make a death trap. Or I’d go around the garden with a B&Q bucket and collect about 30 snails and put them in my room. my personal favourite was polishing our laminate floors and trampoline. I’ve come to the conclusion that kids used to be dangerous and weird but somehow we’re all alive today because we were allowed to be dangerous and taught trial and error if you hurt yourself that’s your fault lol. I feel for kids these days as they don’t get to use their imagination like that

It’s just when you play a game as a child and then you start watching KZbin after you get your first smartphone and then that just goes out the window. Sadly it kind of did for me and I’m sad to say the least that some people are experiencing this from literally the age of 5

I used to play chicken with cars where I ran out in front of a car near enough not to get run over, a test of speed and judgement, I did it by myself as well as with friends so wasn't trying to impress but more out of a challenge and boredom, what an idiot, I also used to steal vinyl records from Smyths on a Saturday, to see what I could get away with, and again I loved a challenge, I used to ask my friends groove they wanted
