Brunson's deal isn't part of a trend... I"ve read Keith Smith's article on Spotrac about the contract so I feel like I know things... It's not as big a pay cut as the media is portraying it to be. Plus, he'll be able to make up most of that money (if not more) later if he opts out & signs a max deal in 3 yrs...

Not a young stud at all. He is barely hanging on to an NBA spot. LAC was trying to give him away last season and no one would take him for nothing so after the trade deadline the Clippers sent him and PJ Tuckers asses home to not even waste space on their bench watching the games live and ruining the chemistry of the team with their crying for minutes

Some of the comments I read here is so stupid. Starting with people saying Lebron made the decision of landing Westbrook to the Lakers when Rob Pelinka who is the GM of the Lakers was asking his top star if it was a good idea to get Westbrook. Naturally any NBA player at that time would say yes to it especially since Westbrook was coming off a 22ppg, 11rebs, and 11assist season in Washington. Westbrook plays hard but doesn't work hard as he is still not a good shooter after playing for many seasons now. If Nikola Jokic said its okay to bring Westbrook in, how many of y'all would be blaming him if Denver gets bounced out early in the playoffs? People are so quick to criticize Lebron for wanting to play with Westbrook, but his GM didn't have enough common sense to make such a simple decision that Westbrook could not play with Lebron as their games are parallel to each other. A GM is supposed to ask the coach first and foremost if this player can fit to his system. You just don't bring in random players for the heck of his name. It has to fit the system which we all saw he was not a good fit. A fan or an analyst could have seen this would be a bad fit from miles away. Real proof. When they got him they missed the playoffs and the second season they were on pace to miss it again until they traded him half way in the season and the Lakers made it all the way to the COnference Finals something Joel Embiid has not even accomplished. At this point what's the sadest thing about Westbrook is that he will be known for playing with the most superstars in the history of the game. He has played with Kevin Durant (9 seasons), James Harden (3 times), Paul George (2 times), Carmelo Anthony (2 times) Bradley Beal, Lebron, Anthony Davis, Kawhi Leonard, and now Nikola Jokic. If he doesn't win with Jokic, what will be the next excuse?
