Why did he change his form?? I always ask this! He used to pull it from the hip and extend more now he pulls it from the middle with less extension. Idk?

More muscle less bounce. Looks like he uses alot of arms now

Any true Westbrook fan knows it was Pat Beverly injury..... Westbrook engine/fire kept him hof elite but if you followed him prior he lost a half a step. He never got the same lift on his jump shot.....scary to think of he never got injured

Top 10 PG ever. How quickly these kids forget. Most athletic player to ever run the point. Remember that show Sports Science? They had Russell Westbrook's baseline to baseline speed measured at the fastest theyve ever seen

Damn, did Russ' side win nearly every all star game he was in? 😂😂😂😂😂😂 All of these highlights his side won. There must have been a couple that he lost....? So great to watch this clip! Russ is a one of a kind basketball phenom! The media and Skip Bayless/Shannon Sharpe inparticular tried to discredit Russ' accomplishments by saying his style of play doesn't lead to winning championships, but so what if it doesn't? Does that make his competitive fire any less impressive or impactful? Is Dame Lillard, CP3, Mike Conley, or James Harden any less impressive? No.....these are great competitors. Are John Stockton and Steve Nash losing type players? Of course not. I am rooting for Russ to win his first title as a Clipper this postseason! One of the best i've ever seen and no question one of the games greatest competitors!. So many big games! Last postseason he reminded folks....23/7/7 is not washed..... Go get em Brodie!!

If he wasn’t hurt in 2014 and robbed in 2021 , he’d be a 11x all star by now.

He changed his form which is his decision and we will never know why! He’s still a beast and getting his shooting confident back! First ballot

@atifking8731 His newer jumpshot is less stress on the legs for longevity reasons. He's been working on developing a more grounded 3pt shot since players keep leaving him open and he isn't shooting 3s off the dribble like he had to do as a #1 option but when he was doing that man that high vertical jumpshot was so pretty lol only when it goes in. Problem is it isn't the same thing as a Curry and Klay 1 motion form, he is too used to the 2 motion form he's had his whole career. That and the fact he only got to 6'3 his senior year and didn't have the same time in high school to develop like D Rose and Wall did. He got his skills mainly in college and in the NBA and was very raw early on. You can tell he's never had the same confidence in his shot as many many other players even just getting drafted, he just went pro and a #4 pick all athleticism and potential. He is getting better with his new shot tho rlly want to see a Kai Jones type player come to the Clippers and give the defense and rebounding that extra boost to get Russ out in transition consistently.
