That’s part. It’s also because he’s Błack and Christian. As a good łooking, charming, professional, unproblematic whìte qb, Russ has a truckload of endorsements as the “face” of American football. Not as a Błack qb. His faith further creates all kinds of warfare against him. That’s ok. Neither one of these things will prevail. Enjoy the show. 🗡🛡

His regular visits to Seattle Children’s Hospital are legendary and unforgettable. He is one of the most kind and positive ppl you could meet. As a Seahawks fan, I never hated Russ, although I had fun rooting against him when Denver’s losses directly improved Seattle’s draft picks. But it’s also true that the reason he demanded out of Seattle was because he thought Seattle’s run-based offense was holding him back, and his time in Denver showed how wrong he was. If Russ had realized this in Seattle, maybe he’d still be a Seahawk. But since I’ve been a Steelers fan far longer than I’ve been a Hawks fan, I hope he learned his lesson because he’s in the perfect offense for him once again and if he works with it rather than against it, he could be special again.

It's that world of punditry and fickle fandom where the 'fake', 'corny' and 'superficial' are to be found. They spent two years - right up until last month - trashing Russ. Suddenly, he's their hero, Superbowl bound, comeback player of the year, etc. But they'll flip again, whenever he loses a game or two. Stay steady Russ! The Broncos paid him, they’re paying him still, and they are part of the reason he’s a Steeler. As a Steeler fan, and similar to Russ, I thank the Broncos. I rooted for him in Denver, but I’m glad he’s a Steeler.

I can't stand these ppl that hate on this guy. We don't have enough "Good Guys" out here & to hate him says so much about yourself. I root for all the black QBs because I remember when it was not even 5 in the NFL. I never look at them as "corny" or whatever, when Cam newton was dancing that entire season I had to see him being hated on for being a winner. He said something about the Steelers haven't beaten anyone, but we talking NFL teams and it came off has hate from him & he hasn't said nothing since they beat Washington recently. I even made the trip to Denver just so I can finally see Russ play live, I hope to get to Pittsburgh to see him where he is being appreciated would be really great. Keep doing your thing, Russ! 💯🙏

Lifelong Pittsburgh native here. What a great guy. I hope he has a successful career in Pittsburgh. He's already been killing it. Hopefully he can bring the Steelers a long deserved 7th ring. Our city needs that energy!

I remember seeing this guy being interviewed before his draft and how incredibly focused he looked. He was quick with answers, confident, maintained great eye contact and showed determination but humility. Everyone was questioning him because of his height and he would hear none of it. I remember thinking he was one of those guys who’ll never stop fighting for his goals, come what may. I wasn’t surprised when he tore up the league with Seattle, but as great as he is as a player, the coolest thing about Russ is his consistent approach to EVERYTHING. He’s always been this guy. The definition of unwavering class and commitment.

This was a great interview and nice to actually hear from Russ. Mike Tomlin was raised by a stepfather. I can imagine he and Russ had some amazing talks about fatherhood and Russ being a stepfather. He has gotten some undeserved backlash for loving a child that isn't biologically his. I believe he's in the right place with the right coach and it's only up from here.

Positivity, I can't say enough from a guy that used to be homeless. Now I've purchased 2 homes married for 35 years 2 adult sons that are doing well. Anybody that knew me back in the day would have said he's going to jail, or he'll be dead positivity, man positivity. Been a teamster for over 20 years. Life's good positivity it's real.

I totally get why most of the world hates Russ. He is one of the best QBs to ever play, never break character, always class act, man of faith, good looking, rarely hurt, family man, hard worker. And obviously very cheesy. No wonder the media clowns hate him...

What I like about Russ is that professionalism! This guy was injured but on the sideline still dressed with head set on! Showed me his leadership, work ethic, and hunger to get back out there! He could have been in sweat pants cracking jokes getting paid!
