Wilson is not really a RB. He's a QB that's best in the league with no help around him and a bad OC. He scrambles to make plays because his o-line can't block for shit. Russ is a passer he's not like Lamar. Lamar is a RB in the QB position who has a good but not great arm.
@navonmyhand79994 жыл бұрын

@DeCurtaRican7 ай бұрын
The timing and field vision it takes to improvise like that presents a higher degree of difficulty than being a rhythm passer. Contrary to what many people outside of Seattle believe, Russ has shown in his career that he can do both. He can throw on rhythm, throw over the midfield, throw with anticipation, throw to a spot, and make pre-snap reads…all of the stuff people claim he can’t do. The only claim with any validity is that you need to limit his post-snap reads, and that’s only because he has usually had poor or limited protection, and he is a shorter QB so the protection has to hold up even better for him to get through those reads. That doesn’t reflect an inability to read defenses or the field or a low IQ, it’s just a physical limitation. He cannot help that. Any guy who can take the kinds of snapshots he had to take to make the plays seen in this video (and while on the move, no less) can read the h3ll out of a defense! That’s why Justin Fields will never be as good as Russ regardless of what he learns from Russ. It’s like Prince giving guitar lessons. It won’t make you Prince. What Russ has is a God-given ability that cannot be explained. Russ’s height is a challenge not a failing. His coaches should be addressing his height challenge by investing in stout O-Lines and giving him a few more pass attempts per game (37?) so he can throw the ball away and avoid taking sacks without sacrificing his numbers. And remember, his numbers translate to wins!
@gcwishbone4 ай бұрын
He was alright last year even if the narrative is that he wasn't. Efficient and a decent PFF grade. I agree with you but he did need his legs to help see everything, given his height.
@larrylindgren94844 жыл бұрын
If you watch the tape. Russ's eyes are always down field. He's not running to run. He's running to pass. It's why he's so dangerous. You have to defend both. A rock and a hard place. Russ puts you there. All thou some of these passed were terrible. He should have never thrown them. Up for grabs? Eek!

That scrambling and the best deep ball in the league, to Lockett, made for some insane plays like right here.
