Been a Bears fan for over 20 years, anguishing over the horrendous QB's we've had. One of those years I lived in Pittsburgh, and the Steelers became my adopted team. It was so fun to cheer for Big Ben that year. With all due respect to Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, and Patrick Mahomes, I'd prefer to have an 18 year Ben Roethlisberger career for a Bears QB. Don't think its gonna be Fields. Maybe one day.
@joemiller22052 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. I commented that on another video, that if I could go back and put Brady or Manning in Ben’s place for 18 years instead, I’d still want Ben. There’s just nobody in the league more exciting to watch than a younger Ben in his prime playing his unorthodox backyard style football. The way he could extend plays wasn’t seen before. Watching him for the past 18 years as a Steelers fan, there have been so many times where he DOESNT end up making the play after he tries to extend it, and every time I always thought to myself “damn Ben is tough, if he were any other QB right now they would have blown the whistle 10 seconds ago”. Because he’s Ben and he’s made so many plays like that over the years, he had that reputation and it seemed like even if there was 0% chance he gets away from the defense the refs would never blow the whistle early to protect him the way you see them end some plays for other QBs instead of letting them actually get tackled. Because of that he took a lot of abuse over the years and is the most sacked QB in nfl history. Much appreciation from Steeler Nation for putting his body on the line for us for 18 years. He’ll probably be the all time Steeler great at QB for all of my life. Thank you 7!

Just long enough for the trainer to reset his nose and he was back in. He could have had atleast another two years of playing time if he didn't get hit so much. He was just to beat up. You could see it earlier in his career when he still had some wheels on him. He used to run the ball fairly often. But when those hits started to pile up you could see his footwork slow down. The last time I checked, Ben was sacked 554 times - the most by any QB since this became an official statistic. The Ravens alone sacked him 61 times, the most of any NFL team. And then I watch a video like this, and he was so mobile, so elusive on so many plays. (Does this mean the Steelers REALLY need to revamp their offensive line?) On a different note, I would have reversed #1 and #2, because #2 not only literally saved a Super Bowl championship, but also Jerome Bettis' mental health. But small potatoes. Congratulations and my respect to Big Ben (from a Packers fan).

Ben was the best QB to ever play for the STEELERS. I know he didnt win 4 SBs but I am talking about playing QB. None better. His competitive spirit was always there and his precision at times was incredible. He made plays as a QB that no other QB playing in his era could make (shrugging off 300lb DLmen and then making an incredible throw out of nothing. Glad I got to see his whole career. Thanks Ben!

Kinda looking at brown as a what if guy is crazy. This highlight reel shows all he did in Pittsburgh and it could've been even more.

Watching these vids made think wow such great receiving talent as well throughout the years. Ward, holmes, brown, Wallace, heath, and even JUJU was a great #2 receiver

How can you rank them? He has hundreds that are equally amazing. Truly one of the best to ever play the position

Big Ben's accuracy is 2nd to none. Almost every ball he ever threw was placed only where the receiver could make a play on it. That Super Bowl TD to Santonio Holmes is still one of the most on point, perfectly placed balls there has ever been.

The amount of times he juked the camera is quite impressive

The embodiment of backyard football. He was a wizard. Also had the best pump fake I've ever seen in a QB.

0:40 that throw was crazy tough, still got a spiral on it.

To this day the #1 play amazes me. A perfect throw and a perfect catch to win a Super Bowl, there’s nothing like it
