I worked for a while as delivery driver for Dominos. It took a few weeks for my own name badge to be printed and in the meantime I inherited the badge from the last driver to quit. His name was Maurice. Even after I received my own name, I wore the Maurice badge plenty of times. Who doesn't want to be the gangster of love?

So nice to hear somebody shed light on the terrible conditions modern delivery couriers work in, I worked as a self employed driver for DPD for just over a year and have never worked so hard for so little money and no respect. You don’t get paid if you don’t deliver the parcel and you get charged for having a day off if you’re ill, you also get charged or severely punished if deliveries are late due to having to divert on your route to use the bathroom and that’s the main reason drivers go in their vehicles. It’s just not right and the government will do nothing because the parcel company’s make a lot of money this way and the government sees that money, but the people that make them that money are treated like animals. I don’t online shop anymore due to this and if I do I always stay in for the delivery and tip the driver. Never ever take a job at DPD or Amazon, you will be treated like crap, best one is Parcelforce as 99% are employed with full rights, still a hard job but much better benefits

I often eat shredded wheat, which I believe is the same or close to what he's no longer allowed to eat. It's the cheapest cold cereal I can get & I'm grateful that I like it quite a bit. Sympathy to Russell & anyone else not able to eat what they enjoy/afford/etc. I've had meals provided at work & I'm always grateful, most especially when there's a choice &/or I can bring part home. I've been very, very disappointed with some of the food I've seen served to students. Anyone who has any sort of control/influence over what children are made to settle for & who get any sort of perks through work should be ashamed of themselves & realize their privilege.

Yeah, it's called coeliac disease. It's genetic and causes your immune system to attack your own healthy tissue when you eat gluten - particularly your small intestine which means you can't absorb nutrients from your food.
