I don't understand a lot of what people think looks good to wear on tv in Britain, and usually Russell's shirts are fine, but I don't understand this choice! To the person that said it looked like a period pad, I wonder about you too!! I've never bled black ink, maybe you are part squid or octopus!! Frankie Boyle and Lee Mack are the worst offenders for awful print shirts tho!! I AM surprised at the amount of the women on British tv quiz shows that wear horrible outfits or colors.

A lot of Russell's appeal is his looks. So most people, when he lays out a bad joke or punchline, will forgive it and think, "Well, that was kinda bad, but at least he's nice to look at."
