He pushes on his audience but knows boundaries. He handled the loss of their child well , and was instantly on whoever just ( I hope) nervously laughed. That's what makes him talented, that thin line between being a douche and being funny.

Russel is evergreen cause he is all about live standup comedy. Very few things are drafted, most of the punches are real-time reactions from his audience. That's why everyone relates to his content. He checks the pulse of the audience and then gives them content that will drive them crazy. Unlike others who serve pre plated meals.

My now deceased husband was a First Nation, status Indian, Ojibwa. He always said he is not aboriginal, not first nation, not any other name the whites gave to make themselves feel better. He said "I was born a native, an Indian, and am always an Indian". To this day I call the original Canadians "Indian" and have trouble calling people from India anything but "East Indian".
