Clare Daly doesn't go far enough. Kiev had been shelling the Russian Ukrainians of the Donbass for eight years. The government in Kiev was an illegal junta brought to power in a violent coup, unseating a legitimately elected one, with a great deal of help from the Americans, in 2014. There was nothing "illegal" about Russia's invasion. It is far more in keeping with international law than anything the Americans have done over the past 20 years (and we could probably extend that back another 50). Mick also is pulling his punches here. I get the feeling he's self-censoring. Among other things he should have given that smug little twit of a pseudo-journalist her comeuppance. I'm disappointed, overall, though I'm still glad they speak out on American and European hypocrisy.

There were so many points where this conflict could have been avoided, and just before Feb 24 they had signed an agreement to descalate in Turkey, which Ukraine turned around and broke the very next day. even then, two days later Russia agreed to halt it's entire force and go back to the negotiations. Again the Ukrainians reneged, and the nahzee assassinated one of the members who was trying to work out a peace deal on the Ukrainian side, one of their own people. So they, the Ukrainians chose war. A war they are losing, and could never win, and they are slowly waking up from the delusion that NATO will come to save them.

The nuclear bs as an excuse from NATO is laughable. Russia will never use Nukes unless NATO attacks Russia proper like they did with Serbia. Vladimir Putin last year openly challenged NATO to come and face Russia in Ukraine and NATO Cowards didn't even reply 😂. Because NATO knows there is no beating a land based superpower as NATO is all about maritime/air superiority. While NATO built its naval and air force as primary strike forces, Russians built anti aircraft and anti naval weapon systems to counter. NATO is scared. There is no tougher fighting force 💪🏼 than Ukrainians. US and allies can't hold a candle to AFU. And that AFU is being decimated. All NATO could do is go up against powerless nations who depends on foreign weapons. I am sure NATO could stalemate China. Beat the likes of India/Pakistan, Iran, NK etc. But Russia is the actual BiG scary MF. NATO was created so bunch of scary little guys can feel safe against the 🐻.
