People make comments like this so passively as if to minimize the affects of nuclear war. Please do some research. If Russia launches multiple nukes at the U.S. or any NATO country then yes, they will launch nukes back, BUT we are taking about the end of a huge chuck of civilization. There’s no going back. People will die. A lot of people will die. A thousand times more people will die than those who have died in Russia and Ukraine since this war started. It’s a big deal and the U.S. and NATO need to start considering that Russia may very well and is probably most likely being serious.

Russia currently holds the largest and most powerful stockpile of nuclear weapons in the whole world. I’m an American, but I’m not blind to see that the U.S. is no longer the most powerful or richest country in the world. We are loosing our grip and Russia and their allies are coming for us. If Russia launches multiple nukes at the U.S. we are done. It doesn’t matter if we strike them back before the nukes hit, it does not change the outcome.

Russia can take a loss. It has done so many times before (Crimean War, Russo-Japanese War, WW1, Soviet/ Polish War, Soviet/Afghan War). It’s Putin and his regime that can’t take a loss. If Putin loses, the Russian elite and Russian people won’t tolerate him anymore. Strongmen who show weakness don’t keep their positions for long. So the Russian soldiers dying in Ukraine aren’t dying for Russia - they are dying for Putin.
