The Molotov Cocktail traces its name's origin to the Soviet invasion of Finland, where Finns named the flammable alcohol based explosive after the Soviet Foreign Minister Vyacheslav Molotov due to his public role as the voice of the Soviet Union, like accusing the Finns for anything you can imagine to justify the Soviet Union's imperialist attempt to reconquer Finland and end its independence. Perm was named Molotov in turn to commemorate said foreign minister, like how Tsaritsyn was renamed Stalingrad after Joseph Stalin, and St. Petersburg was renamed Leningrad after Vladimir Lenin, or Königsberg was renamed Kaliningrad after Soviet politician Kalinin, and Nizni Novgorod was named Gorky after yet another Soviet politician

I have to say, for maps in Russia we use a different app rather than Google maps. Yandex is a big tech company that dominates Russian segment in many spheres, as well as maps. Yandex maps have 3D buildings, the CIS team might have used that for help and reference.

The CIS team does use Yandex maps, but mostly for their streetview and great satellite imagery in large cities. Yandex maps do have 3D *shells* of buildings on map view (and some kinda cartoonish style landmarks), they're not actually useful. What Pippen meant by 3d is the actual lidar-scanned 3d models of large cities on Google Earth most teams use to figure out all the details about buildings.

Lots of inaccuracies in your research, but nice video overall. Some of the mistakes and corrections: 1:54 Lenin's body in not on display in this building. What you're looking at is St. Basil's Cathedral 5:05 Zelenograd is not a Principality, I have no idea where you got that from. Zelenograd is an administrative district of Moscow. 5:16 Zelenograd was never a closed city, you can find plenty of soviet-era photos from it and anyone could just go there by bus or a commuter train. 13:22 This is the Kazan Cathedral Mosque which is going to be built irl in the coming years. 22:23 Probably not a mistake and pippen just wanted to showcase everything done by teamcis, not just Russia. Вut still, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, etc. are not part of Russia. That's probably not all, but that's what I have noticed.

Just a tiny nugget of info I wanted to share about how minecraft servers work, the number 128 for the render distance stands out to me because of some shenanigins I've encountered in the past with running minecraft servers, I noticed java distributes java x32 by default and I have no idea why, there is a java x64 but it's harder to find and you have to completely wipe a server of anything java to get it to install and sometimes it just doesnt, but if you manage to get it to install a lot of your integer limits go away. I've run into weird limitations when running servers on x32 versions of java and I'm curious if this render distance bug has something to do wiht them possibly running this x32 instead of x64 migth be worth investigating.
