Vinny keeps saying Putin threatening nuclear war. It’s not what he’s literally saying. Putin is saying that a nuclear response is now not off the table if things keep going, it’s always a possibility. No one wants to hear that kind of talk but it’s a far cry from the black-and-white thinking that when he says that oh my God, Putin is literally threatening nuclear war if we do this or do that again, that’s not what he’s saying of course, we’d have to take this extremely seriously and be calculated and what we do but let’s not get over our skis Vinny please. You sound like a hysterical old girlfriend of mine with the theatrics and drama all the time, enough or I’m going to advocate that you get a sex change Vinny

When discussing Ukraine's dilemma, Tom left out the 2014 part where the USA advised Ukraine to pull out of the agreement with Russia, they were going to sign a treaty. Then the USA performed a coup in Ukraine and removed the democratically elected president, and installed what they wanted in there and things have been degrading ever since. Plus we crapped on the agreement of leaving a buffer between Nato countries and Russia. Wonder how we got to the edge of WW3? FFS. The military industrial complex just wants perpetual wars so their sales stay high, and they run this govt. They told Zelensky the war would end quickly, how long has it been now?

PBD keeping the lease TIGHT on Adam’s rambling and tbh it’s comedy
@romper4444Сағат бұрын
Ya I kinda feel bad for Adam how PBD acts like his dad scolding him. I feel like behind the scenes he tells Adam...look you gotta stop rambling, do your research, make the points I ask you too' yet he hasn't fired him yet? Even when Adam makes good points he still interrupts him, yet he lets Vinny ramble about nonsense half the time. Adam should be used as a tool to present the democratic talking points and other side of arguments to bring balance to the show. But I feel he's been slowly influenced into leaving his liberal roots behind. I don't wanna see PBD's podcast turn into a conservative echo chamber like so many of these 'right wing bubble' shows turn into.

I want discussions and disagreements and 2 different views to have a conversation.. not a circle jerk.

I appreciate Tom's insight so much. Especially in the end, George's life was taken tragically, and it was enough to create momentum during that summer. What happened to Laken should also be enough for us to speak up against the protectionist policies for many criminals passing as asylees. Enough is enough! Some of these people or families are real refugees, but many of them are criminals in their own country of origin, and none of these is taken into consideration to have a background check in order to approve their stay.

Tariffs. I'm from Europe, between 2012 and 2015 I spent the majority of my time in the US, in SC to be exact. Watching TV I got interested in a dodge Charger through some local dealership advertising the 2014 V8 Hemi for 36000 USD, Skip to 2015, back to living in Europe I decided to go look at the Chargers... Same car. 70K EUROs, not even USD. Final part of the story in 2019 I bought an Alfa Romeo Stelvio and out of curiosity I looked what that would cost me in the US. The European car, in the quadrifoglio version (sports / performance engine) was CHEAPER in the us than my lower tier version was in Europe. So yes. the US is getting bent over by Europe and probably China, I did not look into that so I could not tell for sure.

After querying CHAT GPT and pressing it to use accurate language, here is what it said about Ukraine "inheriting" the Soviet Union's nuclear weapons. You need to get a grip on the misinformation you're peddling from the mainstream narrative. "While Ukraine physically housed a portion of the Soviet nuclear arsenal, these weapons were indeed still under the operational control of Moscow. Ukraine did not have the launch codes or independent command capabilities, meaning it could not realistically wield these nuclear weapons as an independent strategic asset. Here's how this breaks down: Operational Control and Launch Codes: The nuclear warheads stationed in Ukraine were designed to be controlled centrally from Moscow. The Soviet command-and-control system was highly centralized, and Ukraine did not receive the technical means to launch these weapons independently. So, while the weapons were physically located in Ukraine, they were still functionally under Russian (previously Soviet) control. Nature of "Inheritance": When Ukraine became independent in 1991, the physical presence of these weapons on its soil led to talk of Ukraine "inheriting" them. However, without operational control, this "inheritance" was limited to custody, not ownership or control in any practical sense. This is why some experts argue that Ukraine didn’t truly "inherit" a nuclear arsenal in the functional or strategic sense; rather, it temporarily "hosted" Soviet nuclear arms until they could be dismantled or relocated. Legal and Political Considerations: After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Russia declared itself the sole successor state with control over the former Soviet Union’s nuclear arsenal, a stance accepted by international actors. This framework legally reinforced that these weapons were still Russian assets, even if they were housed in Ukraine, Belarus, or Kazakhstan. In essence, calling the weapons an "inheritance" might imply a level of sovereignty and control that Ukraine never had. They were more accurately former Soviet nuclear weapons stationed in Ukraine, and the disarmament agreements (like the Budapest Memorandum) were as much about removing Soviet-controlled arms as they were about securing Ukraine’s non-nuclear status. This distinction is essential to clear up the misconception that Ukraine, at any point, was truly a nuclear power with operational control over these weapons. The terminology should ideally reflect that these were Soviet nuclear assets merely deployed on Ukrainian territory.

Of late, I often defer to CHAT GPT by copy-paste because it's easier after I have had a discussion with it. And of late, I have these discussions with it because it has quick access to the mainstream narrative and arguments. However, when I present facts and counterarguments that challenge the dominant narrative, it is more open to them than most people because it can verify and accept my facts, and it reasons better than most people.
