Come to Sweden or Norway and you guys will move to Russia in a heartbeat. A minimum salary for a McDonald's employee in Sweden is $1650, after tax $1213. A standard Big Mac meal (medium drink and medium fries) in Sweden is $9,5. That equals 127 Big Mac meals (1213/9,5) with that salary. A minimum salary for a McDonald's employee in Norway is $1709, after tax $1295. A standard Big Mac meal (medium drink and medium fries) in Norway is $9.8 - $10,70. That equals around 126 Big Mac meals (1295/10,3) with that salary. Now to Russia. We could see at the beginning of the video that the minimum salary for a Russian employee at "McDonald's" is 90,000 rubles = $976 and as I understood, after reading a lot of comments, in Russia they display salaries like that after taxes. As I can't read Russian I just took the first example I saw in the video. There was a full meal displaying on the screen for 389 Rubles. 389 Rubles = $4,2. That equals 232 meals (976/4,2) with that salary. Summary: While Russian employees can buy 232 meals with their salaries Norwegian and Swedish employees can only buy 126-127 meals. That is 83% more for the Russian employee, my friends. Interesting how they lie so much in the media just to keep us misinformed. Our governments are doing a great job of keeping us under their control.

Keep in mind a restaurant worker is very low skilled. Anyone can do that job. Meanwhile an higher skilled jobs like engineer, programmers, accountants, doctors and more are heavily better paid in Sweden and Norway. By a HUGE margin. Like 5 to 20xs more.. That's why so many skilled people from Russia move to the West. Russia has been experiencing huge brain drain for years because of this. If the people are unskilled, then yeah, they're going to love Russia. 🤣 People who are unskilled, poor and lazy are obviously going to hate it in the Western world because the West demands better of the people.

@@user-xt4gu2yc3j That is very extremely odd statement. I never see a Russian own 2 cars, a 4 bedroom house, 3 toilet in the house, a microwave, a backyard pool, a spa and at least 2 computers. I have everything listed above and I don't even have that good job.
@_V_G Жыл бұрын
@@Michael45007honestly don't know were to start😂. Let's begin with standart pool and spa- obviously not popular bcs of weather conditions, expensive to have and maintain it here in general. On the contrary, summer pool constructions (non- stationary) are extremely popular, especially among those with kids. Re big apartments - it was a thing a while ago, but it's not right now. People are more mobile, for example they can move even to be closer to working place/school. And it's harder to sell bigger apartments. Also bigger apartments means bigger mortgage payments. No one wants it anymore, people want to "invest" in other things. Re number of cars- not sure if you're familiar with our parking place deficiency, traffic situation and public transport systems. However many people own 2 cars if they feel they need them (for example if they live in the suburbs or/and in private house). Computers/laptops/tablets/washing machines/etc. are no big deal here. No one merits personal wealth by the number of those😂.
@Michael45007 Жыл бұрын
@_V_G So basically they're just poor. Canada has swimming pool and spas everywhere. So does Iceland. As well as Norway, Sweden and Finland. It seems to be Russia that "uniquely" lack these things. It's not resources or engineering problem. It's money problem. They can't afford these things the West can easily afford. You say it's harder to sell bigger apartment because it means more expense? We don't have that problem in the West. People want to invest in real estate in the West. Few Cars? Yup. That's a sign that the country is poor. Look at North Korea. Computers/laptop/washing machines, toilets are all easily affordable. It's very nice. It's a shame Russia can't afford it. 😢

The decor, layout, menu items and whole feel of the place is very similar to McDonalds restaurants in Australia. This is a typical location for McDonalds in Australia as well - a service centre on the side of the highway. There are a few menu items that are different - we don't have deep fried cheese or prawns and a couple of the other things. We also have thick shakes and soft serve ice cream (not sure if 100 have those...). The burgers look more like the ones we have at Hungry Jacks (the Australian version of Burger King), rather than McDonalds - they are much bigger and the food looks a lot less processed (although in reality may not actually be any heathier). The price of this meal at 100 is quite cheap compared to what we pay at McDonalds in Australia, where the price is about half that again. However, Australia is experiencing very high levels of inflation at present across all product and services, almost bordering on hyperinflation for some items. I have noticed many serving sizes are getting smaller at the same time as prices are rapidly increasing. 100 looks like a better restaurant overall than Australian McDonalds.

To be fair though, fast food places have all switched to better ingredients. Fast Food isn't really even that unhealthy anymore. The worst thing at fast food places now is the sodas and some of the desserts. Before the mid-2000s-2010s fast food used shit ingredients, then they all switched to better ingredients to 1. improve their image and 2. compete with places like Chipotle.

Miratorg is also the name of an higher-end grocery chain, and if you like burgers, some of the grocery stores have 'Стейк и Бургер' (Steak & Burger) or 'Бургер и Фрайс' (Burger & Fries) locations right next door, which is the best burger I've had in town. The decor of the place looks very tasteful and neutral - I read months and months ago that Miratorg were going to launch their own chain of burger restaurants. Surely the Miratorg burger featured can only be tastier and fresher than anything from McDonald's - probably the carton that a Big Mac is served in has more protein and health benefits than the burger itself does) Russian kids (in particular) should soon be among the healthiest in the world now that McDonald's has left the country. I might be wrong Russell, but I think the name "100 МИРАТОРГ" was chosen because Miratorg's burgers contain 100% beef.

But Miratorg was the meat supplier to Russian MDs (and still is to VnT)
@grantchallinor5263 Жыл бұрын
@@mihailraskin2912 Yes, I know that. But McDonald's will have a certain specification/standard of product (burger) so that you get more or less the same thing (the same taste) whether you're eating in a McDonald's in New York, London, Beijing, or wherever. Let's hope that Miratorg are offering a vastly better "culinary" experience.... It can't be as bad as McDonald's which (in my opinion) easily provides the worst "food" of any of the international fastfood franchises. * I use the word "food" loosely)

We've had Miratorg fast food restaurants for a few years, the burgers there are a little more expensive than at Tasty and Dot or Burger King, but most of the patties are made with premium grain fed beef. I love eating burgers from Miratorg, especially since many of their recipes have Russian specifics, such as the lingonberry sauce for example

With all due respect to Russel, and i don't want to spoil the fun, but: 1)This is not a "FIRST russian" analogue of Fast food - bcs there was already Blin-Donaldts (yes, a proper fast food network, but now closed), Teremok and Kroshka-Kartoyshka ("Itty-Bitty Potato" if you need translate). And yes, i was talking about FAST FOOD(!) russian analogies, not the commuter(?)/community-like restro's and etc. But in terms - "FIRST actual attempt to make Russian version of McD"? Then - maybe, yes. But - again - it's not first actual russian fast food brand. 2)Miratorg - has actually a very bad reputation in russia, in terms of BAD(!) quality meat, and also as a most biggest MEAT CORPO's which is trying to consume other meat companies and brands. There even was a THE BIGGEST CONTROVERSY - when many russian experts and analytics(?)/lab centers - found out, most of meat of MIRATORG - are actually a leftover of meat products (yes, cow feet, bones and etc.), or just very low-grade meat (for example their ANGUS meat - is not even a real A-class Premium ANGUS meat - no, it's just a third grade or below-grade meat). So be careful, and don't listen all BS - from this Company. 3)Miratorg already produced meat for other Fast foods - for example, russian branch of Burger-King are actually made all meat stuff - from Miratorg meat. Yes, from Vopper to even "Bacon-azier".

It's your burger eat it any way you please. I like to put French fries in side my burger on the bottom side with hamburger turned up side down, the bottom of the bun up. In the U.S. no condiments are applied. I put a thin layer of mayo, mustard, ketchup, on the Bunn bottom. Then place a layer of fries on the burger put a little ketchup on the fries salt and pepper then replace the bottom. I think eating the burger upside down, keeps juices and condiments from dripping out. P. S. ELVIS PRESLEY was known to add peanut butter bacon and bananas to his burgers sometimes.😊

As you rightly observed, they must've recycled these credit card terminals from another store. Verifone is an American manufacturer, so they wouldn't (or shouldn't) be able to get these brand new. Also note that this VX 820 model is obsolete, no longer compliant with several regulations, and no longer receives software updates since April 2023. You can't use these in the US or EU to process payments anymore. I'm sure Russia doesn't care about all that, though.

Dear friend, most of Russia is located in a climate zone where there is a harsh winter with low temperature, if you want to give up meat, you will just freeze in winter because your body will not have enough energy for heating. Miratorg is a state-run and state-founded beef agricultural corporation. It was created 10 years ago to replace foreign meat on Russian market. Any restoran needs stable meat source.
