Thanks! I did not delve into this too deeply at the time, but I look through some logs about Facebook campaigns. One Russian front group was posting to BLM supporters that a white supremacist marching protest what's scheduled. Another group was posting to the right wing that a Marxist black lives matter event was scheduled. I think that says it all.

Wait a minute guys. I am extremely pro-Israel, however, I believe that Russia is acting in a sane self-interested way. ...but I write this not to argue on the Ukraine conflict--rather to put forth that the two situations are quite different. For one thing, I see no way for Ukraine to win and useless wars that end in defeat I am not for. Israel is not going to lose per se. Dave Rubin is what I call "currency" anyway even before this. He stands for almost nothing so this does not surprise me. I do not agree with you guys on Jordan Peterson. I believe him to be sincere which is all that I want from a youtuber. 400,000 a month is a lot of money. I would like to think that nothing would corrupt me on matters that are important to me. I can say with confidence, unless there were a gun pointed to my head, no amount of money would have me turn against Israel (albeit I might kind of criticize things I don't agree with judiciously but not for money). I would love to explain to you why it would appear I am on Russia's side. I will say, that I was the first person I know in the U.S. that was seemingly not in favor of Ukraine. I happened to have been watching Stephen F. Cohen videos the year prior to the Russian invasion. Cohen is no longer living, and frankly the fact that John Mearsheimer agrees with me regarding Ukraine I find troubling as he otherwise is wrong on many things.

Actually, let's now discuss "shrinking back." This is a metaphysical primary that comes from shaming the great ancestral father. That is obvious if you truly think about it. This goes to prove the dichotomy that all the good in life comes from suffering, and all evil comes from not cleaning your room, so take up your cross and bear it! I am not the cause of this movement. I am humble enough to admit that I am just a part of the wave. However, when young men come up to me and tell me about their new aspirations to become a lobster, well, I cry with deliverance. At least it's something like that. If that makes any sense.

Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins and too many others to mention here lost their minds over Covid and Trump, but they stand with Israel or at the very least recognise Islam as the poison in the water that it is. If Objectivists took some time away from parsing every word in Galt's Speech for the 100th time to research some history of the Russia/Ukraine conflict, they would learn that Ukraine is by far, the most corrupt government in Europe, which has become a classic "den of iniquity" with money-laundering, influence-peddling, sex-trafficking, Old Guard Nazis (the Azov Battalion and followers of Bandera), and last but not least: large-scale "gain-of-function" bio-weapons research (many of which facilities were the first things targeted by Russian military in 2022). This "Tenet Media Affair" smells like a hoax - a "disinformation psy-op" - on the part of a corrupt DOJ, FBI, and AG (Tom Cotton, senator from Arkansas, correctly assesses Merrick Garland as the most corrupt and incompetent Attorney General in US history. Without necessarily agreeing with all your specifics, I do agree with your root diagnosis - "but they believe uncritically any narrative in mainstream media if it confirms their ideological priors..." I also find their views of MAGA and the conservatives simplistic as well. They're not all in lockstep. That's obviously so amongst conservatives in general. But even MAGA doesn't agree on all matters, or even with Trump on all issues. And they don't agree on Russia, Ukraine and Israel. And being anti-Ukraine doesn't automatically make you pro-Russia. Plus many are just old-school isolationists. They don't care for either country but say it's none of the US's business. Or, they're not quite isolationists but deem China and the South China Sea issues to be more important.
