That's why their R sounds kinda like L. So yes, I was wrong. To cheer you up: I myself struggled with Russian R when I was 6. And (almost?) all Russian kids can't say it until they are 3 or 4 yo :)))

love these vids. I am an American English speaker, and currently learning both Japanese and Russian. i dunno what frightens me more, the way that Russian words look, or Japanese Kanji lmao.
