Russia vs Italy - International Youth Cup

From 28 May to 1st June 2014 Campione del Garda held the first part of the International Youth Cup, a new event supported by the Italian Sailing Federation (Federazione Italiana Vela) and its Russian counterpart , the Russian Yachting Federation. Besides Russia and Italy, even France participated in this new invitational regatta. The race was reserved for Under-19 sailors who competed in the following classes: 420, 29er, Laser Radial and windsurfers RS:X. The second part was held in October in Sochi, Russia.
The race format provides two days of fleet racing and one day of team racing. For the team race each nation will present a team of two crews per class. The trophy of the International Youth Cup will be awarded on the basis of the overall classification of the race teams of all four classes (420, Laser Radial, 29er and RSX).
