Very nice explanation with good examples. It's good for non-Russian speakers to see how the Russian language is interpreted by Russians. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.

You're right at 11:50 Google translate didn't translate that accurately. If it were to say "with John" it would be Instrumental case, for example: "Сейчас собака живёт с Джоном".

Thank you for this idea! Now I use it at lessons too :) Very helpful! I learned French in school and I forgot almost everything but still remember that 'avoire' means to have... If I am not making a mistake 😃😂 Yes it's very interesting about old French! Didn't know it

Why case arose in some languages and then in some of those same languages declined is a question to which I do not know the answer. But I figure if I ask maybe you have good ideas and I also think youtube likes vidoes more which have comments and likes. Great lesson!

Thank you a lot for your support! :)) Для меня это очень важно! It's very important for me 😊🌟 And yes it's very interesting but I don't know the answer too. But I think about it often. For me it is very interesting to learn different language system. I didn't learn Japanese but we had сравнительное языкознание in MSU where we compared structure of different languages and Japanese too. It was so cool and interesting! I always want to learn Japanese but have no time :(

The dog lives with John vs the dog lives at John's place.... These are almost interchangeable but really they have different feelings(I say feelings instead of meanings intentionally). If the dog lives with John, than they have a more personal relationship... Like he is the dog's master and the dog welcomes this. But if the dog lives "at" John's place it is like it is a vagrant and the dog is just there with no personal attachment. In general I find prepositions confusing. We ride "on" a bus, but we ride "in" a car....why? I dont know it is just how it is. Also maybe this has nothing to do with what you were talking about.... I hope this is not the case.

Maybe we use "in" a car, and "on" a bus because a car us usually lower than our eye level, so we get down in it. A bus is higher than eye-level, so we climb up on it. Just guessing! 🙂
