Episode from the 1992 VHS documentary series "Russia: The Missing Years," covering the first half of the Russian Civil War. Like many other episodes I've uploaded in this series, the only copy I could find was in Russian. Hence, I translated it and dubbed it with the ubiquitous "Adam" A.I. narrator voice that you may recognize from various KZbin Shorts and Instagram Reels.

are you sure its from 1992? oh ok so you used ai to dub it? you should call it Russia: The Missing years + or v2 or Ai English Dubbed version. AI dubbing will only get better wioth more believable voices over the next few years, driving MILLIONS even billions of new views of people who normally wouldnt be able to watch. Its going to be a GOD send for artists and documentar6y makers. SOON All world documentaries in EVERY language will get to be viewed by most Everyone else in all major language DUBS. KZbins auto language closed caption CC already has allowed SO MANY of us to read along with videos from around the world for more than a few years now.

There are a lot of complaints about the narrator. Well, I'm Russian but I understand him very well. I haven't seen this documentary in Russian so I'm listening to this English voice.

At first i thought this must be "fake" and "ai generated" because I recognize the ai voice, then I read that it is just an english dub, which uses those ai voices just for convenience. Its actually one of the best educational most useful use cases for ai. This documentary, while it was only in russian, was sort of hidden to most. NOW we can watch it like all our other documentaries. But I suggest going back to using the old british man ai voice mode :D

You had Communist Reds vs anti Communist Whites Communist Reds vs Japan, USA, UK, Canada, Czechs White/Reds vs Green Army White/Reds vs anarchist communists Communist Reds vs Kulak peasants (1928-1934) Communist Reds vs Central Asian Muslim rebellions (1916-1926)

The voice is fine and has proven quite capable as everything is crystal clear. Further, arbitrarily attaching a British voice to a video about the Russian Revolution is incredibly strange. Do you think Russians sound like British speakers? Do you think all foreign videos need to have a British voice-over? I bet you think all Hollywood bad guys should speak like British white guys. SMH.
