Had a few requests for a "Trolling Archipelago" video. So here it is.
Russian Fishing 4 is a fishing simulator with RPG elements. There is no story line and the whole process is based on the concept of an open, free to roam and free to play game.

I just hit level 27 so came to Ladoga for the first time last night. Managed to catch a 3kg & 5.5kg pike somehow, but man, I have no idea what I'm doing here lol. Thanks for doing this video, always informative and a big help 👍

caliber hsv is enough for begginers at archi you can make ez 3000+ for 5hr fishing with 3 rod if spot is active best hock for lure are ethalon 2/0 if you see thath fish going str8 to bottom its not worth it to fight its baltic just instant reloag nice video btw

Actually I'm putting together 2 outlines for 2 new videos. 1 will be about spinning reels vs casting reels and the other will be about what I believe is needed before new players buy the 5 days Norway ticket. The reason I haven't done anything is because my monitor has gone out and I'm trying to save up for a new one right now.

hi, love your videos, i stopped playing this game in 2018 and i came back in this week. I had hard time to figure out all the changes and your videos helped me a lot. thank you very much. I am at level 31 and i farm the game for silver to try the amber lake. any ideo where to go for a lvl 31 to make silver quickly? I tried zander in sura, not so bad. Salmon in volkhov is a pain cause my old gear sucks a lot. Anyway, keep making tutorial, they're great. Thanks a lot :)

Right now the game is pretty dead. Almost all the lakes except for Amber haven't got a good bite rate. However if your gear is not good enough for Volk then it sounds like you need new gear before you can fish for enough silver to get gear for Amber. For Amber you'll need 3 Fortuna carp rods and at least 3 HSV Caliber reels. That is going to take a lot of money. I don't know what your old gear is so I can't really suggest where to go.

@@midnightgamingwithmysticni947 thank you for your answer, my strongest gear now is : RODS : 1 windgate FF120h 33Kg, 1 model one fd450xh 29.7 kg, 1 falcon match 390 42 Kg, 1 super duty s78h 24 Kg and 1 super duty S88XH 30 Kg. REELS : 1 trident everest 8000s 22 kg drag 46 kg mech weight and 1 mayor ltd 6000 s 19 kg drag 44 mech weight. That's all my strongest gear, I have also some rods and reels more weak. Today i managed to make some silver and XP at belaya with trout, but it's still very slow. Anyway thanks for your help :)

@@midnightgamingwithmysticni947 Yes, but my reels are in a very bad shape, i need at least 2500 silver to repair both ^^ But i think it will be ok, i farm silver at tungunska now, brown trout and graylings with my UL gear, it works pretty well i should say. And the xp is good too.

I don't know anymore. The old lake had a single spot that was amazing but I think the new lake completely ruined any trophy spots honestly. The old bait we used to use was egg dough or semolina.

I bought a syberia model one feeder rod 29,7 kg load capacity and when I started fishing with it a 2,6 kg carp caused this: the tension bar went red and i had to loosen the brake 20 to 10 even though i have a sputnik alfa 8000 reel, 28kg load capacity line and 28,5 load capacity leader and 2,6 carp weight is nowhere near 28kg. Even with lighter rods, i have caught bigger fish than 2,6kg and the tension bar has not gone red at 20 brakes. What caused this and how can I avoid this.

This type of thing is rarely experienced but it does happen. Couple reasons. 1. one of the pieces you mentioned above has a high wear percent on it. High wear percent means the kg weight it can carry is now much lower. 2. Rare bug occurs where the game mistakenly thinks you have a larger fish, or you have a smaller set up on. 3. Your fish was caught behind a rock, a log, a lip in the ground, or the sidewall of a hole and it redlined you. I've had a few people contact me over the years and ask about this before. You probably will never see this happen again, or very very rarely see it.

I try to fish for carp in bear lake, but the fish rarely come. Is there something wrong with my feeds or is bear lake dead? My baits are: old pal cocos&Cream 16 pop-up, old pal Coco&Cream flavor white and mad mayers cocos nectar. However, when I look at the chat, the other players are catching fish just fine. I have tried fishing in near camp and in the southern part of the lake.

@@Neuvostoliitto.1234 Bear Lake doesn't become active very often. When it does it gets super active and you'll hear people in your chat talking about it a lot. Most of the time is fairly dead though.

It happened to me again that I had to drop the brake to 11 so that The tension bar would not be on the red and a 2,4 kg wild Carp caused this even though I have a 29,7 kg load capacity feeder rod, sputnik alfa 8000 reel, 28 kg load capacity line and 28,2 kg leader and the place was seversky donets river in pier 90:161. Rod wear percentage: Blank wear 0%. Line guide wear 0,5%. Handle wear 0%. Reel wear percentage: Mechanism wear 2,6%. Ball bearings wear 0,6%. Friction brake wear 7,5%. Spool wear 0,4%. Grease wear 2,5%. Line wear is 2,3% and leader wear is 0,5%. This happened to me on syberia super duty, that I had to drop the brake to 14 because of a 6 kg Catfish, so that the tension bar wouldn't go red and I have caught even bigger fish with syberia super duty without having to drop the brake to 14.

@@Neuvostoliitto.1234 Yup sounds like the redline bug that's been going on for the last couple years. Haven't found anyone that knows what to do to fix it yet. Might want to jump on the Russian Fishing 4 forums and see if others have figured it out yet.

Amber Lake carp happy hour. If you've been leveling off those for a long time switch to a completely different fish, like Ahktuba wild carp or catfish. Happy hour raises your chance at skill ups and by moving to fish that you don't normally catch you can get skillups that way faster.

Wassup! I just wanted to ask i'm currently level 21 i have a adriatica 5000S reel with carbon brake 9kg. I'm saving up for beluga narga 8000 at volkhov river for 3.450 or something. Do you think it is worth it? Thanks in advance :) P.S: forgot to add, i'm doing trolling most of the time it's the most fun for me :)

The Narga used to be worth it when it was a much lower cost. However because the Devs increased the price to a ridiculous amount it's not worth actually buying anymore. The Caliber HSV is now the top reel at your level and because it's drag weight can be upgraded and the Nargas cannot you will eventually end up leaving the Narga in the dust with drag weight. So I now suggest to people to purchase the Caliber HSV and upgrade the drag weight the first time they repair the friction brake.

Now i actually bought a Alfa 8000 because i really needed that extra mech weight of 38.1 kg and i figured because it has the same drag weight it's worth it. After reading your reply now i'm scared i screwed it up. i bought a Super Duty S88XH for my Alfa 8000 and i will put 28kg ExtraSilk and i will make a 21kg 45cm fluoro leader. What are your thoughts for this setup? And like you said it's worth buying Caliber HSV so is it okey to save it up again for my second setup? Thanks a lot for all this help!

@@simontratnjek9389 Alfa is a pretty good reel so I wouldn't say you screwed that up. However with the Alfa you can't upgrade the drag weight so you'll always be stuck with that same weight. So while you'll still be able to use the Alfa the HSV has an upgradeable drag weight which will work out better in the long run. I would save up for that as your second reel. As far as your rod setup for the Alfa and HSV a Super Duty is absolutely fine. You could also use a Model One 35kg as well. You'll get a lot of use out of either of those rods and still use them with larger reels. For your line setup a 22kg to a 28kg braided line is fine. Just remember the more expensive lines might have a smaller diameter, so if you find one that has the same kg weight limit but a smaller diameter you'll be able to get more line on your reel. Might want to check that. Your leader is only going to work if you're fishing in areas with no pike. So if you're fishing on Yama you'd be fine but if you're fishing on Volk or Archi then that leader is going to be too small and pikes will eventually take it. As a rule I always use a 28kg or higher fluorocarbon leader when I fish areas that have any size of pike, even though that 28kg leader may be bigger than my main line. It's called overloading your leader so pikes can't bite through it.

Oh that's kind of a hard one. There are soooooo many spots and soooo many different fish there. I'll have to start collecting as much relevant data I can but there are like, hundreds of places that people fish there for lots of different fish. It would probably end up being a 2 hour video if I cover all the spots and fish. So it'll take me quite a long time to make it.

Not sure if I can do one explaining them all because there are a few that no one ever uses under carp rigs. Plus the new Marine fishing also has new bottom rigs too. I'll have to think on this one and try to decide if I can fully do it or not. Maybe I can do one on just the feeder rod for beginners since I covered most of the carp bottom rigs in my welcome to Amber videos.

Yeah that's the funny thing about Archi. Usually people go for Atlantics and Salmon and when they only see Zander and Pike they get mad and move. But if you can catch big Pike and Zander super fast you can make tons and tons of money per hour. After that any Atlantic or Salmon you get is just a bonus.

Nothing to update. Volk hasn't changed at all since the video I did on it and Kuori only got a little bigger with a few new fish. If you're talking about hot spots and lures I don't do those types of videos because they are outdated within a few days. You can always check the VK russian site, Mdawgs discord, or Russian Fishing 4 discord for hot spots and lures.
