Yeah this video is so old there are like 100 more PDA's that are in the game. I wouldn't use this as a reference for finding all the PDA's or getting to the island. Easiest way to explain it is if you imagine the Auroras engines as directional arrows they literally point towards the island, just go in that direction.However don't actually go right behind the the engines, there are Leviathans there.

To be technical, the game looks at your lure or bait type and lure or bait size. Also if it's a bait it looks at the hook size. If it's a lure it looks at the lure's color, depth and speed or if it's even moving. It then compares these things to if your fishing in an active spot that's considered a "hot spot." It then looks at if everything above is what the fish are biting on or "attracted" to at that time. If you're bait fishing it takes into account if you've spoded or groundbaited that area as well. If you're lure fishing it takes into account if your using a spinning technique and adds an additional 1% - 5% higher chance. If you're using poppers (top water wobblers) it adds an additional 5% chance of spawning and attracting a fish where the lure landed in the water when you cast it. After adding up all these factors it figures out a percentage chance for a fish to spawn and bite your bait, then rolls a random number generator, and depending on that number it may or may not spawn a fish that will immediately bite your bait or lure. So to answer your question specifically, if you were to remove the water all at once there wouldn't be one single fish in the water. Even the fish you see swimming around are just a visual addition to the water graphics. The fish spawn if all your above requirements are met, so you would see the fish spawn then immediately come after your bait. You can actually do some float fishing in Kuori lake near the bank where you can see the bait sit in the water. You'll then see the fish spawn and immediately go after your bait. It's pretty cool.

Yup, in fact that's the best way to jig, and if you can find a deep enough hole, toss out wobblers that swim to the bottom as you reel them in.

If you don't have the first skill in making groundbait section called "mixing a groundbait" maxed then yes it's hit or miss. If you max that first skill then you should never get any quality under 9/10.

The overall process still works and is somewhat the same. However the save file location has moved. The new save file location is: Steam\steamapps\common\Subsistence\UDKGame\SaveData\ProfileSaves\Sp There is also a slight change in how you figure out the location of your most recent save file, which is the save file you replace to restore an older save file. The entire process goes as follows: 1. Go into the game and click on single player, then click the profile that you want to replace. If you're doing this for multiplayer you have to be the host and click the host tab to see the profiles. 2. Once you click the profile you want to replace, there will be a line that says "Last Save" and it will give you a time and a date. This will be the time and date of your last safe file. Write this down and exit the game. 3. Open a windows explorer window and go into your main drive, such as your C: drive, then program (86) files. 4. From there go into the file location: steam\steamapps\common\Subsistence\UDKGame\SaveData\ProfileSaves\Sp 5. In this window you should see a bunch of randomly numbered save files. At the top of the explorer window you'll see a column named "Date Modified." Click this over and over until the time stamps go in descending order, meaning from the most recent time to the earliest (example: 10:00 pm at the top of the list to 8:00 pm at the bottom of the list. 6. The very top file, which should also be the newest file, is the most recent file you need to replace. Write down this file's save number. So if the file is named saveGame12.sav, you need to remember that saveGame12 is your most recent save that the game will try and pull up. 7. Cut the top file and paste it on your desktop for safe keeping. 8. Paste in your old save file you want to play, or find a file with a time stamp you want to roll your save file back to, and rename it the same name as the top file you just cut out. So for example, If my file at the top of the modified date list was named saveGame12.sav, I would cut this file out, then I would take an older file I wanted to roll the game back to, such as saveGame27.sav, and rename it to saveGame12.sav. 9. Hit enter to confirm the name change, restart the game and enjoy the rollback of your save to a time that didn't mess you up. You need to remember the game doesn't save and number the save files in order. The game may auto save your game and name it saveGame27, then a couple minutes later the game will auto save again and name the next save saveGame12. Going by the save game numbers will not help you. You need to use the save file's time stamps to know your most recent save file and what save file you want to replace it with. Then use the saveGame numbers to replace the newest file with an older file that was before you were messed up.

I'm having trouble with this. I located my files with your description which you thabkfully updated, but next to the savefileslist.sav the time is 12:43 and there is no corresponding 12:43 file. The closest one is 12:41. Should i try to reolace that one? Anybody? Help!!

If I remember right, and I'd have to download and check to make sure this is correct, instead of time stamps that the new save system works off of it's now just the most recent save number. So it's either the highest save number or the lowest save number that is your most recent save that you have to replace. Let me down load the game again and see if I can figure it out again.

Yes, the math on when to repair will always be up to date because it's just regular math that I used with the numbers the devs provided on the equipment. There's no trick to it, it's just regular math. The percentages on the mech weight is specifically what the math was for to keep the mech weight above the lines weight, so the reels' mech wont break instead of the line. However the other percentages of when to repair, like the line guides and friction brakes, are really up to the player and don't need math to figure out. If I were to go back and change any info on the video I'd say I'd suggest not repairing the line guides of the poles till about 50%. It's fine at around 15% - 30% for cheaper rods but later on when you've got super expensive rods it can be costly. on top of that people are starting to realize that line guides don't do hardly any damage whatsoever to the line.

Yeah Bear can be a little frustrating like that. I believe it was supposed to be a crossing point between Old Burg and carping with wet bread and potatoes and starting to use the more advanced Boilies. So sometimes it becomes really active and you can use Boilies and catch more Leather and Mirror carp, and others it drops off and you're forced to use potatoes and wet break for simple Common Carp. Then other times it just falls flat with no hot spots. So I always skip it completely when leveling an account.

I fly fish also and I can tell you rn you should not be tieing a piece of line to the tip of your tippet when you lose the tip of the tippet bc first of all your making a weak point and second of all you can use a 12 foot tippet that was been broken and cut down to 10 feet itll just be stronger than it was at the start and when the tippet gets down to the point were ya cant fit the line thro your flies eye you change it out

Yeah none of that is true. The line that is attached to the end of your fly line is the leader, it starts thick then tappers off to be really thin so the fish can't see it. Tippet is a thin line that is specifically made to be tied to the end if your leader to replace the thin line that you've cut multiple flies off of and so you don't have to replace the leader. By not adding on tippet your cutting back to thicker parts of the line where the fish can start to see it and will stop biting as much. There are leaders that are different lengths that are made specifically for different fly fishing scenarios. 5 foot for tight spots with lots of bushes and trees, 12 foot for long distance casting, 7 foot for in between scenarios. If you're not using the right length of leader for the specific scenario your fishing in then you're not fly fishing correctly. Buying a much longer leader just so you don't have to tie tippet on the end isn't the way to properly prepare for the spot you're going to be fishing in. Tippet is literally created to be tied to the end of your leader or to the end of other tippets. As long as you use a proper knot, like a surgeons knot, and you spit on or soak the knot while you tighten it then the liquid negates the friction that tightening it causes and doesn't weaken the line. Multiple tippet lines can be tied to other tippet lines and it doesn't make a difference if done correctly.

As far as I know you can't switch hands. However if you really want to, a spin reel forces you to hold the rod in your right hand while reeling with your left. A casting reel forces you to hold the rod in your left while reeling with your right.

Idk i gotta cheap black spinner used it on Kaori and it sucked i go a bigger higher rated hook and i have lost one yet on the lure but wid stock hooks lost 4 fish in a row

Cheap lures have cheap low grade hooks you'll get a lot of "fish got off" messages. Replace the hooks with higher quality hooks and it helps get less "fish got off" messages but you'll still get them every now and then. Depending on what stock hook the lure or spinner comes with it will always affect the "fish got off" message rate. If you're lure comes with great high quality hooks as stock, which most of the high star rated lures do, you'll see much less "fish got off" messages. However, you'll always get some.

For the most part yes. There is a little bit of a debate on if the line guide wear on a rod wears the line down faster, they may have changed that in new updates, but in the past the moderators said it does. Personally I don't repair my Ocean Queen till about 60% line guide wear. It's a little expensive and I've found that you don't see an increase in line wear going that high. As for the beluga c30 it depends on how you use the reel. If you fish for smaller fish or allow the fish to run and wear itself out then you can go upwards of 50% wear on the mech. However, if you're someone like me who likes to full lock or tentative lock the reel then having your mech weight as high as possible is huge and I would repair at around 15% - 20% wear. Just remember if you're using a casting reel, your bearing wear affects your casting distance. So if you're on Norway just dropping your line you can go 60%+ wear, but if you're spinning and casting you're going to want to repair at around 30%. As far as friction brake, again that depends on how you fish. Small fish 30%+ wear. Big fish 15% wear. Big fish short line 5% - 10% wear. The more wear the harder it is to get a fish to wear out and come in.

this is odd, because I never get it to say jig step with wobblers anymore, I used to, I still get bites like jigstep though. I suppose I am getting ghost jig step with wobblers, this video is 2 years old so I don't know if it still works like this

Wobbles don't jig step and never have. In fact the only two things that wobblers don't do are jig step and walk the dog. Jig step works by the lure touching and sitting on the ground for a certain amount of time and then leaving the ground. When you reel the wobbler sinks and may hit the ground, but still moves. When you stop reeling the wobbler floats. This makes it impossible for the jig step to work on wobblers. But yes the ghost jig step works on everything because technically the lure moving at all makes fish spawn and bite. However fishing techniques actually only increase the bite rate.

@@midnightgamingmysticnightmare yeah I know this is bs because I saw it with my own two eyes, did it with my own two hands, but I suppose it must have been a glitch, jigstep with wobblers was my favorite way to do it and I still do it with the technique because I don't get bites if I do a straight retrieve. I am happy to hear what techniques you recommend for wobblers though

@@samuelhugo3387 Sorry man but I've been playing since the game launched and the wobblers have never been able to jig step. When you stop reeling with them they float, so jig step was impossible. In fact here is a post on the RF4 forums made by Levy, who was a moderator on the game, where half way down the page he showed the techniques you could do with different rig setups in a table. This post is back in 2019 and as you can see, you couldn't do jig steps with wobblers back then either. Only thing I can think of is you're confusing spoons with wobblers in your memory. As far as wobblers if you're trolling you don't really need to do anything, but if you must speed up is easiest. If you're sitting in a boat or on the bank all the techniques work the best, but stop and go are my favorite. hi Midnight, im a big fan of yours, but just have to tell you, a sbirolino its not a float, its a translucid weight you put it a few couple of meters 1 or 2 before the bait, usually a spinner bait...its used just to cast longer....sorry about my english
