Russian Fishing 4, What reel you use for trolling?

The Caliber HSV is pretty cheap and the brake can be upgraded to 17kg (iirc). And obviously you can use them to fish a number of different methods. I have a terrible memory but there might be a certain level required to use some of the reels you mentioned (or skills associated with that method of fishing). And of course spending skill points comes into that to. If you just plan on trolling and have no desire to fish for Carp or any bottom fishing (except catfish) then a more dedicated reel is the better option. I think its all down to personal preference and the type of fishing.

Hey there Ramjet, HSV is cheaper like around 3400, Easily to obtain if your dedicated in saving for it. Upgrading a reels FB it a great idea but you soon to realize that upgrading me that it will cost the exact same for when you need to repair. Like example the SLC Caliber upgraded FB cost 721s just to repair and will take 4hrs and 4mins. Where that Non upgraded SLC Caliber only cost 113s but still same amount of time to repair. So upgrading is a good option but very expensive to repair later on down the road vs the 100+ silver. And yes, Skills do a very important roll to some factors in how well the reels will perform for you. And right from level 1 we rush to start with the feeder rods cause it make since. Spin fishing on Mosquito isn't really good as for bottom or float. That's what make the silver for you. Like me example, soon I was done with the tutorial. I used my 50 silver and bought me a feeder rod and all it's required components. Then just took the spark reel off from the spinning reel and used that for the bottom. I was able to use 2 rods right from the start. Then worked to gain another 50+ and repeated and got my 3rd rod right away. I didn't get into carp fishing cause, Spin/Baincasters are kind of important early on too like your feeder rods you got. All you you do is just get the starter feeder and upgrade the reel from them and use the for breams and smaller fish. But can catch big carps too as on Mosquito got 17kg mirror on that. Really carp fishing don't really do no good early on until you have certain bottom skills unlocked to use like pop up, hair rig or snowman.

Features don't really matter, they're just on reels that have certain stats. Great Pull means it has low gear ratio, and can reel under tension well. Trolling is on all? conventionals. Same for jerking on classic baitcasting reels. Carp fishing is 8000+ size spinning reels. Power fishing, idk. Sea trophy, idk.

Hello, Ok that makes sense for great pull and your right cause when your trolling and trying to reel a fish against the speed or trolling motor and reeling same time behind the boat somehow you manage to gain on the fish even the heavy bricks we call Zanders. I thought the trolling was on all conventional reels but not all There are some that says that its great for jerking. So assuming these reels are better for jerk rods and most likely your pike reels. Which are the most expensive reels at the bottom. Carp fishing/Long casting is cause the reel is design with such long spools that when you cast that it can cast a great distance with proper weights on. Of course you can get the HSV and such cause as said it's universal so you can do almost everything with a spinning reel.

You get hsv so you can use the reel for everything. Not really rocket science. Kinda waste of silver getting a setup just for trolling at low lvl, cus sooner or later you wanna do some bottom fishing, match fishing etc.

I understand the thing about what the HSV is for. It's completely universal from bottom to trolling and usable as match fishing as you mentioned. But what I want to know of what the features meant for the reels like example. Trolling, Power fishing great pull. What do these stats mean for the reels. As for carp fishing that's obvious. i checked the forums to better understand what these feature represent but there isn't anything listed down. I thought the devs might of left a note regarding these stats.

@@DaveTormala its a thing from the devs. Just like the star rating in the store. Something no one uses as guidelines to buy the correct stuff

@@xsistlol That actually makes sense the star rating help use to determine weather that is good quality to vs poor quality and of course he cheaper the item is the the less star is will have. Same goes for the waterbodies There star rating for each fishing method which help to decided if the map is good for bottom or good for spinning. Thank you for that tip.

@@DaveTormala Yeah but still… no one looks at the stars, they look on the price and what other players tell them to buy. Dont have to make everything so complicated.

@@xsistlol May no one dose but maybe a select people do. Spesically newer players. Maybe they question this to and sometime some people need some guidance to understand more then what is visual but some to watch or read about it. Not ever aspect is covered in the forums. So many of us try to help others where some just choose not to. Sink or swim basically and not trying to complicate things. More less asking some question which really isn't harming anything and I was asking for a member. Cause most cases if you ask in discord you just get your head bitten off cause people think that your just stupid cause you don't know anything. 5k+ hours in the game and still don't know everything. Sometime I have to go and learn it myself cause people choose not to help others. And to be frankly I don't know why people treat others that way. Me I was brought up to be respectful to help those that are in need. It's called hospitality.
