Hello Marlyn, I hope you are having a wonderful day. I just watched your Baby Carriage Video And once again am So impressed. I just can not get over your talent! Between you and Haniela’s, I ‘m not sure how much room there is for other designers. You two top the field from what I have seen! This hopefully doesn’t sound too awfully funny or strange but I just love you both so much. What you do for others is so generous, I feel it has to be out of Love and kindness and I thank you again, over and over. Even though this video is over a year old, I hope you will see this message because I want to wish you and your Beautiful Family the warmest Christmas and the Happiest Of dreams possible with them all coming true. I also hope Santa is very Generous for your Children and patreon(?). Merry Christmas, Irish Jilli

It's a really pretty cake overall. Having finished professional cake decorating courses, I think the basket weave piping was a bit sloppy. But the rest of it is very well done and comes together nicely. love the colors.
@montrealconfections8 жыл бұрын
Agreed, normally for the basket weave you'd start at one end and move across but I wanted it centered so I had to work in a weird order. It was the thing that bothered me but the video was primarily about those flower tips, the basket weave is a pretty common thing that has been seen many times before.

This is a very cute cake. My only 'constructive criticism' is for you to watch a Wilton video on how to do a basket weave. It would be much cleaner looking if you piped your up and down stripes as you go, so you could bury the tails of the sideways piped strokes. Martha Stewart also does basket weave the way you do, but I don't suggest doing it that way. .
@montrealconfections7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Bonny for your feedback, I decorated the cake the way I did because I wanted to have the basket lines centered & if I started on one side and moved across it would have been off. Often after I'm done a cake or cookies or even a day in my life I wish I had done it different but it's not always possible so I try & focus on the good parts instead.
@bunny-if2cv7 жыл бұрын
When I do my basketweave, if it needs to be centered, I use a skewer to impress where I want each up and down stroke. Then I follow that, alternating up and downs and across strokes, covering up the guidelines I made. That way I end up with it being centered, and am able to hide the tails with an up and down line.
@joanneclifton5448 жыл бұрын
it is a beautiful cake. It would be very nice however, on some of your other videos, if you could link your patterns on the video itself. It is very difficult to find some of the patterns from past months of your past videos. That would not be a problem if it were linked directly on the video itself. Other than that your videos are terrific!
