They're not... They just re-use the same empty coffins during funerals in Russia to save money on the complimentary potatoes and dried fish given to the family of the soldiers left in Ukraine or dumped in mass graves while they continue delaying any monetary payouts or financial forgiveness promised in most contract soldier's agreements... Welcome to Russia where the family will inevitably blame the Ukraine or the West for the death of their family member instead of the Russian government that told them to try expanding an empire by taking away freedom from a bordering sovereign nation... 🤦‍♂️

I live in France and Putin is so pissed off that his 3-Days 'Special Military Operation' failed in such huge proportions that he tries to sabotage anything he can in any countries who help Ukraine, even with weird and stupid stunts like this. Russia has been trying to destabilize Europe for decades now and it got worse since Putin's rise to power. Unfortunately, it isn't the first destabilization operation that Putin uses against France. But this one, despite being totally silly, is very vicious, a bit like in the same style than the fake mass grave in Mali (a false-flag operation which was done by the russian terrorist Wagner group, but got debunked thanks to a french drone who filmed it) and the anti-semitic tags operation against Jews in France (this time, it was a bulgarian couple who was paid by russian agents to do it but finally got got arrested by the french Police after some tiime). But despite being silly, the coffin operation is quite vicious because we're about to vote for the European elections in some days: Putin wants to destabilize France and the whole Europe with this kind of operations. We also know that Putin tries to sabotage the D-Day 80th Celebrations and after that the 2024 Olympics Games in France. Not only SCALP missiles and CAESAr canons are a pain in the ass for the russian army, but there's also the fact that France is also the only European country with a totally autonomous nuclear strategic force: that, among other things, totally ruined Putin's plans for the invasion of Ukraine because he thought that the whole Europe would crumble and that USA wouldn't dare to move when confronted to the menace of the huge russian army. Putin wanted to invade the whole Ukraine and absorb it, as well as the 3 Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) AND Moldovia. He would have also absorb Belaruss that the russian army invaded for pseudo-manoeuvers before attacking Ukraine. If Putin had succeed, his goal was to extend the russian frontiers to the gates of Europe, to destroy NATO, and to place USA in a very difficult situation thanks to the help of China. That's why Putin must be stopped at all costs in Ukraine. So, the coffin stunt against France is just another weird try of intimidation and destabilization from the russian services: it's so stupid and so insane that only deranged people like Putin could did such a lame thing with the obvious FSB (Fxcking Systematic Bxllshit) signature. The D-Day 80th Celebrations reminds to the whole planet that we can't afford another Hitler after the insane bloodbath of World War II: that's why Putin must be definitely neutralized. There will be no Peace for Earth until there.

Hi Paul, I was in the Ivory Coast When this happened, " On 6 November 2004, two Ivorian Air force Su-25 attack fighters launched an air attack on French peacekeepers in the northern part of Côte d'Ivoire who were stationed there as part of Opération Licorne (Unicorn), the French military operation in support of the United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire (UNOCI). The US and other countries had peace keepers here that were also killed pretty much with impunity. The Frech responded by scrambling fighters and blowing up every military aircraft the Ivoirian Government had, including the President's helicopter. They are not afraid to act.

Shall I say idiot or amateur? France doesn’t hate Russia in that sense, more importantly tracing this back to some centuries old war is nonsense. There are no such vendettas on a national level that made it through history. In fact, had closer ties to the Soviet Union than most other western countries during the Cold War. France‘s agenda today, in the context of the Ukraine war, is a result of values and to some degree of a national sense of pride and strength.

I know you mean it as a joke but on the serious note I think the whole Ukraine invasion thing was an unbelievable failure of intelligence. If you think about it, out of all countries out there Ukraine is one of the easiest places for Russian intelligence infiltration. The country literally shares borders with Russia, has a large Russian speaking population, somewhat of a cultural similarity, prone to corruption (hence easy to be bought), plenty of Russian sympathisers, and they had more than 8 years to get a good idea of the population's sentiment as well as militaty capabilities and they still managed to fuck this up by invading Ukraine and thinking people would just meet them with "bread and salt".

I wouldn't be so sure about the idea "the French hate Russia." Let's remember that Marine Le Pen is currently enjoying an enormous lead in the polls for the next French presidential election, and her National Rally party was entirely funded by the Kremlin for many years. Le Pen has a lot of favors she owes to Putin and has been talking a lot about how France shouldn't involve itself with what she calls "internal Russian matters." It won't take much at all to ensure that France ceases to provide even the tiny trickle of support it has given so far (which is much less even that that provided by Germany, a country that's dragged its heels and done nearly nothing for two and a half years). The coffin stunt may be pathetic, but it's part of a larger and sustained effort to ensure Le Pen reaches the Elysee Palace and that French popular support for Ukraine continues to dwindle.

The FSB could have found anybody on the French far right or left to do their bidding for free. The French extremes (far left and far right) love Putin. I need to make a correction. France has always had a love/hate relationship with Russia. France and Russia have both been competing imperial powers in Europe. France has mostly gotten over it (still a centralized bureaucratic country with strong presidential powers and offshore territories). Russia has not (still authoritarian, bureaucratic, centralized, and obsessed with territorial gains). Under the tsarist regime, Russian elites (nobility) sent their kids to study in France, they spent their holidays in France, notably in Biarritz, where there is a large community of descendants of white Russians who escaped during the communist revolution. French was spoken at the tsars court.
