Here in the states we call the bad areas of a town or city "the hood" Believe me it's even worse in a city like Chicago or Detroit. I have accidently gone into bad areas of Chicago and it's scary. Trash everywhere, abandoned cars and buildings that should be condemned. Kinda place you don't stop at STOP signs -- you just keep going. Stay safe Milena.

When you mentioned you couldn't understand that man you were passing, it reminded me of what happened to me yesterday. I passed by a woman and she wasn't drunk or impaired in any way but she did have a thick Irish accent and I think she was trying to tell me what a beautiful day it was but I couldn't understand her because of her accent.

I really appreciate your commentary and description of what you are showing us and your interactions with other people. I think it's super duper important the world gets to know the Russian people so we don't get a distorted view of the Russian people an culture! Stay safe and keep up the good work! Stay safe please. We call that a “Garbage Truck “ In the UK they call it a “Lorry”. In America a “Large Car” is a long hooded big truck with a big engine. A semi truck,or tractor trailer. A “Large Car” pulls a heavy load fast. And “Large Cars” usually have very fancy paint jobs and lots of chrome and lights. I love your content and have learned a lot about your country. The couple that you interviewed looked like they belonged right here in the the USA.

well, that's exactly how it works here in Moscow, Milena: like you graduate from Kuzminki, Kapotnya or Brateevo and apply for Cheryemushki, Tekstilshiki or Ramenky... after you graduate from these, you go to Presnya, Khamovniki or Basmannyi... and finally you settle in Moscow City, Ostozhenka or Prechistenskaya. And then you keep studying, studying and studying for the rest of your life just to secure the social status you have achieved. It's a step-by-step life-long strategy, if you know what I mean.

In Budapest, the VIII. district is a criminal's paradise. Drugs, alcohol, prostitution, gypsies. The VIII. district has two parts. Inside the Nagykörút (Ringstreet) there are palaces, the National Museum, universities, and outside the Nagykörút the whole thing is increasingly a slum The worst places have police rooms in containers on street corners.

Russia is so beautiful and the standard of living is absolutely fantastic. I wish I lived in Russia but I live in the hell of Europe. My whole family froze to death this summer because we don't have an electrician or gas. I survived because I have a Russian father, I stole all the clothes of the rest of my family so I didn't get cold. Since they were freezing to death, I took the toilets too. So now I can poo in stereo, but it's not easy as there is no food here in Europe. I eat rats and clothes. You lucky Russians, I wish I was one of you! Sorry, I have to run and fill up my BMW M5 with gas because I'm going down to my Yacht for a little trip with my friends, only a small group of 40 pax! Pray for us Russians, in this difficult time for us Europeans!

Those who watch Milena's videos will agree with me on the spontaneity of this young girl who wants to realize her dream of emerging from the deep anonymity of the countryside and being able to carry out an artistic activity that allows her to visit the world. Milena has some strings to her "bow", youth, beauty and sympathy. Unfortunately, in life "one in a thousand makes it", for all of us "others" remains the "metro" of Moscow in the moments of greatest traffic. Milena has a spontaneity that borders on surprise, almost a naivety, and appears more like a neat and fragrant apple, than like a succulent and exotic avocado. It is the one that in the "world of yesterday" every parent would have hoped for their child and as the mother of their grandchildren. But the world has changed if we are (I'm writing to you from Italy) South Americanizing, Russia, at least the cities become like Paris, London and Berlin. One situation seems to affect in particular "our eye on Moscow", the lack of smiling in people, the lack of good morning, being kind to the elderly, gallant to the fair sex etc. But will all these people really be unhappy? I don't think so, and I believe that they would have a thousand reasons to be happy and grateful to life, taking it with joy, even if only giving way to girls... So at least you can look at his butt... always with respect. One thing strikes me a lot: it's the increase in violence, anger, conflict, all this aggression that is not justified by what really happens to you. I have always considered kindness and meekness a great strength of society, this does not remove respect for the rules and the force of the law. To explain it, it's like having to put on a big suppository as a medicine. Whether you do it cold with crudeness or do it with a lubricant and gently.... It seems to me that this is changing.

Previt Milena, There are many such places like that here in America as well. It is the same the whole world over. You are brave to live in that area, but like in the US, it is those areas that are barely affordable and one is forced to live there because of that. Many outsiders, especially America who are most ignorant, believe that all of Moscow is modern and clean and everything. They are blind to the world and even the conditions at home and do not talk about them. I'm sad that you live in such a place and hope you find better in future. Please look after yourself and be safe. Do not worry about your accent, Russian accent is the cutest in the world. I know Russians want to lose their accents when learning English, but I say they should keep their accent. It is too cute to try to lose and it is part of identity. When I tried to learn Russian, I began to develop a Russian accent, it happens naturally when one is learning a language. Unfortunately, I found it very difficult to learn Russian, almost as difficult for Russians or other native language speakers to learn English because of the different rules and everything. While I may not understand it, I still think Russian language is beautiful, almost musical to me. I also like the softness of it. Americans think all Russians talk like in movies, but that is opposite of the real Russian language.
