Privet Milena, you are a joy to watch. Your English seems to get better and better. Yes, you pronounced "Coconut" perfectly! You are like many Russians I have talked with, always worried about being perfect in speaking and everything. It took a little bit of time to encourage my dearest friend Marta to have phone chats as she was so worried about her accent, but it did not take too long to convince her to do it and now it is regular with us. I have herd many accents and I am used to many of them. Russian accent is the cutest in the world in my opinion! When I was trying to learn Russian I started to develop an accent in speaking my native English! That happens with learning any language. Yes, all of our supermarkets here in the states, especially California are very high priced. It is a struggle every week to afford food normally. The even healthier foods are completely unaffordable for many, including myself of course. I have to make do with what I can and just try to choose as healthy as I can within what is available to me. We also have some supermarkets here that are so expensive that one must pay a fee just to enter them! It is crazy. Of course, I don't go anywhere near those shops. Also the food industry in the states is awful, they focus on unhealthy foods and then tell everyone they must eat healthier. Also the prices go up or remain high but the size or quantity goes down. In many ways Russia is not much different from the states. The main difference is the people. Russians in general are far more sincere and kind-hearted than Americans. I was raised half Russian and to this day I continue to feel very out of place in the US. It is impossible to make friends here in the US. Milena, I wish I could help your channel and everything, but I struggle as you do. Everything is very expensive and I have just enough to get by. If something happens to the car or my health, I will be in big trouble. Thank you for doing your videos. Just doing a video in any weather or conditions is not easy.

Hi, Milena. Checking the prices for the Mango and packet of 6 chocolate marshmallow's, in a UK street market, a bowl of 2-3 mangoes can set you back roughly £1-1:50. That's work's out to be $1.82, Ruble's 170.82. As for the Marshmallow's and it depends on where you go, it can cost in the region of £1:30-1:50, $1:80 and RUB 165.00. Having done the figures from current currency exchange, people have to take into the account that price out there are manipulated.

This video shows a lot we take for granted, but just the desert like snack being an absolute luxury, personally, really hits me. I’m supposed to be considered broke in my country, to put it short, struggling low class. Yet I’d be able to get these things very easily, and not think too much about it. We have expensive store like that here in the US like "Trader Joe's" and other "healthy" or "Organic" food stores. People in the US like pretty fruits and vegetables. They do not want to buy ones with bruises or discolorations. The unwashed carrots I see a lot in Russian markets would not sell in the US. It seems people are afraid of dirt. I am Northern Irish by birth, but have worked with a Russian guy. He told me that food prices in Russia were extraordinary...Even 'middle class' people can't even afford a lot of meat products, opting for cheaper products like potatoes, cabbage, carrots, onions, traditional breads etc. Coming to NI he was amazed at our prices, because we produce most of our own vegetables.
