I had horses for 10 years. Great creatures. They will sense if you have fear, for sure. I don't think they can determine if you ever been riding on a horse before, but they will pick up any insecurity immediately. Calmness is key. They're pretty transparent in their behaviour. Just follow the ear movements and you will know where the horse is currently focusing the attention.

Это не ранчо в классическом понимании. Это, скорее, клуб и площадка для мероприятий. Началось всë давно. Владелец спас несколько лошадей от забоя. Больных и ослабленных. Что с ними делать? Лечить и дать им достойное содержание. Так и возникло это ранчо. Хозяин вложил туда душу. И они неплохо организовали всë, учитывая, что парень не был богатеньким. Они устраивают очень классные тематические шоу и вечеринки. И, если я не ошибаюсь, участвуют в исторических реконструкциях. Очень достойный поступок, который перерос в бизнес. И, видимо, дело жизни. Это вызывает уважение. Вот так.

Loved this video ,shame it wasn't longer or showed more of the ranch. The term in UK is Hacking like you did. By the sound of it, it was trot not canter, & you rise in time to the motion of the horse. Takes a bit of getting use to. Hope you had a hot bath after 2 hours in the saddle .You soon realize why cowboys walked the way they did. Go do some more cost was cheap to UK & it's good fresh air activity. LOL those are the most mild mannored horses I have ever seen. I grew up competing and lived on a ranch. Even in my older age these horses seem very mild. They are pretty thin by the way or at least on camera it surely comes accross that way.

Nice stables, not my favourite past time, tried it a few times. Should be just pressure from your leg to turn. My sister had some, nearly all pony trekking centres have mares or geldings for a predictable temperament.
