Hi Jim!It’s very interesting to watch your channel from Scotland.I think the prices are just ok,and I really don’t care about the brands anymore. As example brands like Super dry or Ted Baker started to make way worse clothes. And I personally spent around 200£ on shoes in the last 2 years and can say they don’t last for long. That stock of shoes at discount centre looks pretty good I think that shoes can be worn for more than a year.

So you most likely haven't seen the actual dicsounted items in some of the shops you've visited. You can actually get some 40 to 50% discounts, though rarely more. In general I haven't EVER seen 99% American style discounts in Russia, you're not gonna get any $100 items at $1, more likely a $100 winter coat at $55 during summer when it's sizzling hot outside.

Obviously it won’t be easy, but Russia could be made stronger in the long run by these sanctions. Opportunity economy! The only problem is a demand for western goods snd what can’t be made in country. Copy brands with decent marketing can get around the first. The second is a matter of holding out whilst exchange rate isn’t good. Living standards and community cohesion are obliterated in the UK and a lot of Western Europe. The possible reward of the potential massively better living down the road if Putin’s decree and helps make up any skills need. You want a life like people did here till Blair’s betrayal without all the DEI nonsense I’d go for it.
